How is it in the year 2026 that there is someone left who doesn't understand how to unsubscribe from an email list?

Our youth club was on hiatus, but it's back, baby!

Meetings are held two Fridays a month from 7-7:45pm at the UTM campus, starting THIS Friday the 13th of March. Email youthclub@mississauga.rasc.ca for room. NO astronomy background/experience needed, just an interest in the sky! #mississauga (1/2)

And the fact they're wearing them is yet more evidence it's a cult.

Lindsay Mattick and Sophie Blackall wrote and illustrated a very charming children’s book on this very topic!

TIL Winnie the Pooh is named after a bear that once lived in Winnipeg. Hence the name "Winnie" 🤯 #CanadianTrivia

We’re thrilled to see #IrynTushabe, @teresempierre.bsky.social, and #PhillipDwightMorgan featured in CBC Books’s 3 Black Canadian Writers to Watch in 2026. Congrats to all three on this well-deserved recognition. We’re especially proud to celebrate Terese and Phillip as alumni of our MFA program.

Processing astro photos and singing along to "When Doves Cry", which I somehow still remember every single word of, is ok for a Friday night.

This is referring to another press run by Caitlyn Marceau, the same one who is alleged to have screwed over authors at Darklit (I say "alleged" but there's quite a lot of evidence if I'm being honest.) I don't see how anyone could ever trust her again at this point.

This is the Rosette Nebula. It's about seven hours of combined exposure time. I'm very happy with it :) #astrophotography

Thank *you*! This is what brings me peace these days ♥️

FINALLY watching Sinners 🎉

That's a lot of what I get out of this. I look up into the night sky and it's so remote and so removed from *everything* that I find a lot of peace in it.

I look at a photo like this and I think of that brief moment in Lord of the Rings when the characters look up at the stars and take comfort in them.

I did. Thank you! That said, it's a whole process. This is seven hours of exposure time stitched together.

Where can I find some deprogrammers? Asking for a nation.

Right? He must have done something right in the early days but nowadays he's just plain nuts.

Catherine O’Hara, ‘Home Alone’ and ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Actress, Dies at 71

One of the greatest comedic actresses in film history passed away today. Everyone should watch something she was in this weekend. I recommend Best in Show... but really there's not a bad pick.

Catherine O'Hara lived a life that you should want to live, that when you die the mourning is almost universal. Truly such a star whose comedy left the world a better place.
