Printing for the pin-up Rebellion! exhibition is now finished. Huge thanks to @workersgallery.bsky.social for donating their unused photo paper last year - used it to print virtually the entire pin-up exhibition saving us a fortune. All set now for the installation in Newcastle next month.
So great to hear the donation was helpful 👍 can't wait to see the work.
The video contains some upsetting scenes, footage of the state-sponsored police riot at Orgreave, where police in riot gear ran amok, randomly brutalising striking miners who were in T-shirts and plimsoles. It’s shocking to see and contradicts all of the media coverage at the time.
A group of pickets in front of an old winding wheel raise a fist defiantly
Now printing for the pin-up version of the Rebellion! exhibition which opens in Newcastle in June.
This one is recent, from the National Coal Mining Museum strike which remains ongoing.

Title: Hunting for Easter eggs with Werner Herzog Panel one: Werner goes out looking for eggs saying “I despise this idiotic sanitized ritual, and yet I am unwilling to return home eggless” Panel two: Werner stands before an egg on the ground “The joy of discovery rings hollow against the monumental indifference of the universe” Panel three: Werner carries an egg “what, other than regret, can hatch from this empty chocolate vessel”
Happy Easter!

Poster with a photo of a Red Rebel against a bright yellow background. The poster has the words: REBELLION! "It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion" Oscar Wilde, 1891 Exhibition 1 June to 31 August 2026 Newcastle City Library 33 New Bridge Street West Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8AX
The Rebellion! exhibition opens in June at Newcastle City Library and will be there for three months. It is an exploration of protest as an essential part of our cultural identity in the face of draconian anti-protest legislation.
What's that smell?

What's that noise?
Can't wait to see you and to celebrate Noisy Valley with everyone. You're a wonderful and inspiring creative Myf! ✊🙂
Noisy Valley tells stories of protest from the Rhondda. It is social history… it is a defence of the right to protest… it is a love letter to this feisty community.
Just gonna pin this to the top of my account - with a reminder that pre-orders really help (bookshops order stock in if they see pre-orders are high). Coming out in May ‘26. Thank you! www.waterstones.com/book/noisy-v... #graphicnovels #books #rhondda #protest
