GMS2 or game maker studio 2 I don't know what they call themselves right now. The engine is great to use, the inbuilt language is super user friendly, and the community is amazing!

Saying to urself "this doesn't matter" and just creating is so nice after a hectic time and spamming a tonne of ur favourite games is so valid even if it takes a few extra games, days or even weeks, i still think it's totally fair.

the target spec for the game im making is a potato (cus it runs on my pc xd) and if i can smoosh together a game that runs on this hamster wheel with rgb lighting i dont see why the AAA studios cant, so i totaly agree.
Bit burnt out at the moment so doing a little bit of modelling to chill out, how do you chill out when u hit this kind of burn out wall?

Thanks :D what I was going for with the straight up spikes was some sort of crown, but I think ur right it definitely needs a rework to give that something special and make it really stand out.
Working on one the weapons abilities, a launched explosive, I still need to make it look nice (and actually explode), but the predictive arc is working!

The clouds are already pretty bright, so I would do some darker (not too dark) shading just around the bottom of the clouds to really make the top of the clouds look bright and the middle looks more fluffy.
I dno anything about GD script, but what I do know, is if it works, you did a good job!
its definitely the most tedious and least rewarding cus 90% of the time u just end up with boxes that change picture, but when u do an animation or a particle, it all looks flashy and fancy so my smooth monkey brain is satisfied faster xd

Main character stuff terrifies me cus its so game defining, fun fact, Heart machine went through over 100 iterations of the drifter before they were happy with Hyper Lights main character.
