One month left to apply: People voting in the upcoming local elections in May can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate, a free form of ID that can be used to vote at a polling station. The Electoral Commission is calling for people to get hold of one if they don't have other photo ID
I saw that coot and did think it looked a bit nest for a small bird!
Incidentally, the only thing we are closing is the '3free' offer which expires at Easter - so subscribe this week to get your 3 free copies of The Think Tank! zigzageducation.co.uk/synopses/436...
Letter from Hachette saying that the Hachette Learning Magazines (e.g. Politics Review) are coming to an end this academic year. (It's dripping with heartfeltness.)

Finally officially confirmed: the Review magazines from Hachette (formerly Hodder/Philip Allan) are coming to an end:
mill's dedication: this is a jointly authored work
a century & a half of male editors: mill exaggerated out of a sentimental fondness for his wife

This poll, however accurate it may be (and this is a proper pollster but constituency polling is hard & poll Muslims is hard an this is a constituency poll with lots of Muslims) it may end up being self-fulfilling prophecy if it encourages anti-Reform voters to coordinate on Greens
Chaos ensues.
Previous information and MRP polls alongside local knowledge has helped voters to be very effective with their tactical voting in recent elections - 2024 was a masterclass in it. But with such split polling as we have now, history will be a poor guide for the next election.

This gives me an opportunity to update my 2029 Election Predictor App, which now allows you to give Proportional Swing to Reform (only UNS in previous version). On Uniform National Swing this probably means a left-wing coalition.... but...
Soon, it's we who will be the point of comparison.
Lads, please, I'm trying to plan a magazine that comes out in March
American presidents have often stretched their war powers, sometimes bypassing Congress completely.
In the latest issue of The Think Tank magazine: Angela Mogridge inspects the tensions between the US and Venezuela, and looks at the Top 10 most controversial uses of US presidential war powers.
As a small publisher, we also print on demand. So while our magazines are not printed to the edges, we have a very tight turnaround from commissioning to publication. So although we're not a news magazine, we can cover some of the more pertinent topics, which has become more and more important since
If you subscribed to Politics Review, you may be sad to find it is ending!
However, you can get your fix of an A Level-specific political magazine by subscribing to The Think Tank. We share many of the same writers, and you can get your first 3 issues free: zigzageducation.co.uk/synopses/436...
You can't pass an unprecedented law to strip me of my peerage! I quit!
... oh, around 2016.
