Original post on social.vivaldi.net

32 years ago I started working on my first browser, Opera. I left Opera in 2011, but two years later I co-founded Vivaldi. Thus I have been making browsers now for 32 years, with a short break there between 2011 and 2013.

I have always felt that this work is important and no less today than […]

The anti-Big-Tech movement isn’t a trend, it’s a correction.

We spent 20 years accepting surveillance capitalism as normal. Now we’re remembering we have choices. 🔥

A huge thanks to Imranr.DEV for #ComplexObtainiumApps.

I just discovered it, and although I've managed quite well to get the apps, I'm deeply grateful to be able to get @Vivaldi from the source itself and not from mirrors as usual.

As our CEO beautifully puts it: "We spend our engineering time on stability and features users actually requested. Not on AI assistants that hallucinate answers, while training on your private browsing history. Novel idea, apparently. 🎯

I loved it.😎

An adventure every now and then, to remind us that we're still alive, and have not perished in the boredom of today's society.

...and along the way, more Vivaldi users. ✌️

Just a suggestion: Negative rules.

Ie. if I'm only interested in articles that contains a specific keyword:
IF 'Title' IS-NOT <keyword> THEN 'mark as read'.

So, I'd receive the articles that contains the keyword, the rest will mark them as read and won't appear: A clean and shinny inbox.

To date, I've only had ONE virus: An impressive score for 30 years. No suscriptions, no paids, no updates, *no headaches*...and of course, no slow-motion in computer.

I deleted my antivirus, and somehow my PC is now safer Without antivirus, I finally saw what Windows security actually handles.

Since #W95, I have not antivirus.

I realized that all antivirus were freezing my computer's resources. In W10, I even removed #WindowsDefender, along other #bloatware.
