Ich bin ein bisschen nerdy geworden hiermit, und es geht viel darum, wie wir eigentlich Geschichte denken - also was Geschichte antreibt, wie wir das aufschreiben, wen wir als handelnde Personen wahrnehmen und aus welcher Perspektive wir ökonomische, soziale, kulturelle Strukturen analysieren.

Hard to take in the news that @ucl.ac.uk intends to close the IAS. For me, the IAS stands for what academia can be at its best: a genuinely open space for thinking, a home for ambitious projects, and a place where difficult questions can be pursued across disciplines. Ending it is a serious error.
