If the choice is to possibly let the Nazis win or stop them but kill civilians with collateral damage I think you should do the latter
It's clear that you're making a bad faith argument at this point and don't think working with Nazis makes you a nazi
The US didn't defeat Hitler the red army did killed more Nazis soaked up more casualties took betlin
Here
Is radiation poisoning definitely worse than rape?
Ok if you won't call republican fascists Nazis then we are not on the same page
Are you saying being part of an alliance that defeated the Nazis isn't literally defeating the Nazis?
I didn't dispute why they entered the war? It is both true that the US didn't enter the war specifically to stop the Nazis and that it is good to go to war with a Nazi state
That's a really vile and revisionist view, saying Japan was not cooperating with the Nazis
I am not disputing the US was fucked up and had bad motives so I don't know why you keep going back to that
Are you saying the US was not justified in entering WW2?
That's putting words in my mouth? I never said they solely defeated the Germans?
It is historical fact that Germany Italy and Japan signed a defensive pact, making them allies. If you sign a defensive pact with Nazis, that makes you a Nazi. You're on the same side
Ok I would disagree that war is always bad. War is good when you need to stop a Nazi state
Like all of the allies contributed?
I dunno seems pretty propagandized to say the soviets defeated Hitler by themselves
You're saying the US had nothing to do with defeating Hitler whatsoever? That seems pretty fucking ridiculous
I don't understand what you're trying to say? Are denying Japan was allied with Nazi Germany?
And I was responding to someone saying the US did nothing to stop Nazis? Which is just factually wrong?
The but is that eventually they literally stopped the Nazis???? Are you disputing that?!!
I dunno seems kinda fucked up to say it's okay to kill million of people if it's slow but not ok to kill a smaller amount if it's fast?
OMG if you ally with Nazis then you're a Nazi. Why is that easy to understand when it's Republicans platforming fascists but hard when it's the Japanese empire literally allying with Hitler
If you're in a military alliance with Nazis, and you don't ask the Nazis to leave, then you are a Nazi
That wasn't the implication. The point is that everyone seems to ignore all the messy details of fighting the Nazis (and the Japanese empire we're Nazis cuz they allowed with Nazis) except for the nuke
It's like a footnote in the death caused by the war, and it's weird that you only want to seem to talk about that one incident.
I'm not saying the US was right?
Uh more like millions? More civilians than soldiers died in WW2. The nuke was a tiny fraction of that.
I know, the US didn't do enough, but also did stop Hitler eventually. Why don't you understand this?
It is both true that the US was responsible for genocide in Europe through early inaction and that they are responsible for eventually stopping it? Why is that hard?
Stopping Nazis by any and all means means going to war with Hitler right off the bat
