This turtle pic is definitely a keeper!
As you can see, the shell of this one is peeling/shedding. It's a normal process to shed the outer plates/scutes to make room for new growth.

A group of grackles is called a plague. Turn your volume all the way up to hear the plague across the channel. I opened the slider and couldn’t believe the racket!
