6/ Funders as learning partners. When funders engage as thought partners—listening to grantees, co-designing solutions, and iterating together—collaborations become stronger.

5/ Think long-term, not short-term. Impact takes time. One-year grants won’t cut it. Multi-year investments allow nonprofits to plan strategically and build real, lasting change.

4/ Connecting the dots. Funders have broad networks. They should leverage their influence to connect grantees with other nonprofits, businesses, and policymakers to amplify impact.

3/ Capacity-building matters. The most effective funders provide training, leadership development, and infrastructure support—helping organizations sustain impact beyond individual projects.
