A scan of an anime style illustration ad from a scan archived on Internet Archive, of two Formula 1 cars being cheered on by crowds, with their driver waving with their helmet outstretched, an anime gal with long teal hair, and a brown haired guy behind her in another car. It's an ad for the Gameboy raciing game F1.

Be sure to refuel at your local Snell Station when riding your Ionda motorcycle and smoking a Maldoro.

I do so love slightly changed brand namers like this. What a cute ad too.

Hey LA we are going to be at Brain Dead Fantasy Fest this weekend (look our little logo is on the flyer)! It looks kinda like a dream vendor line up but it's all happening for real. Very excited that this is happening, lets make our wish we get an east coast version of this too.

If you’re in Los Angeles this weekend, I won’t be tabling at Brain Dead’s Fantasy Fest (can’t be two places at once) but they have a big stack of my books that’ll be on sale. Plus a lot of other cool vendors and events.

I noticed way too late, on the Daicon IV Travelogue article, someone had asked: "What’s the bottomless Daikon/radish game?"

I did previously try (and fail) to answer this myself when I originally translated this. I took a look again and found the details. See here: www.zimmerit.moe/daicon-iv-tr...

ZXE-D Legend of Plasmatlite: A great idea… from a distance 1996 PlayStation game ZXE-D (pronounced “Zeckseed”) was surely made for me. A one-on-one fighting game filled with robots? That’s already more than enough to make my ears prick up…

Imagine if someone made a game you literally couldn't play unless you completed a complex series of tasks in a tangentially related hobby first:

Even FASA couldn't produce evidence of their licenses in court, so the fact this particular anecdote is continually trotted out gets frustrating. At best they got swindled by 20thC Imports and paid for something the shop couldn't legally sublicense. At worst, well...

Assuming FASA somehow had the rights to these designs has been used as a way to justify blaming HG for more lawsuits... though it seems like they're in the right, in this particular case.
