Worth adding you can drag Quake to its own independent directory before uninstalling it on Steam

Thanks! And hah, I literally added the ETA on the discord posts I made... it's a while a way for sure, but there are seven quite large maps and I'm not underestimating the amount of work involved
Another season, another Quake episode WIP double (2 of 2)

Just don't leave it 10+ years... everyone's 10-year-younger self was a terrible mapper whose awful brushwork will bring you pain
How do you celebrate the release of Doom? By reminding the world that Quake still exists! Join our Arcane Dimensions Traps Jam which starts on May 16th and ends on June 6th. Please visit the traps-jam channel on our Discord server for the rules and guidelines.
I'm on a (work mandated) apprenticeship at the moment and we have a dedicated AI to help us write essays. Tutors are just pointing us to it
I had noticed this too but was waiting for someone else to say it :D
Can confirm, this tower is cool as shit. Currently thinking how to get it in the map I'm working on atm
They are nice aren't they, it's built on AD so they should show for anyone using vkQuake, QSS or FTE
Someone from id confirmed soft g was correct, but you'd have to pry the hard g from my cold, gibbed hands
I honestly think the whole Quake = brown thing exists because many people only remember episode 1
Turning my doodle into a real map. A lot to do and as usual I'm dicking around adding secret areas instead of working on the main path.
Little modular bridge prefab thrown together in Quake
Yep this one is great, about 2/3's through alkaline and it's my fave so far. Not played Bal's map yet though
Map-Center Retrojam 3 is all kinds of fun! 🤘https://youtu.be/3_Qe3FFqN6Q
This was his first map! I hosted the contest it was made for and tested it. It was wonderful seeing him gradually improve into one of the all-time greats after starting at such a basic level, inspiration for any new mappers out there
Blame whoever named this
This was 100% what first drove me off both Facebook and Instagram (several years ago now). Find it really hard to imagine anyone reacting positively to it?!
Which Quake bods? (Unless it's a closely guarded secret!)

before I forget, here's some art I made in Quake
A friend and I listened to Stout Hearted Man once many many years ago whilst a bit tipsy, and ended up in uncontrollable laughing fits. Years later we named our couples' WhatsApp group 'Shooby Taylor Appreciation Society' and it still makes me smile every time I see it
This calendar has been the absolute highlight of my December, thank you Jim
Just generally trying to anticipate the player's reactions and stay one step ahead. e.g. if they see a monster, where might they hastily run to and not notice an ambush..
Multiple escape routes / points of cover work well too. Room layout design plays a big part
Most basic thing is spreading them out so the player isn't always shooting in one direction and has to think to prioritise targets. Groups of mixed monstertypes are good too. Avoid the door problem andrewyoderdesign.blog/2019/08/04/t...
Yep the goal is to do all of E2 in the style of ad_rje2m6! Tentative to use the term 'remake' as they are quite different in terms of scale & architecture style with many new bits; someone used the word 'reimagining' for ad_rje2m6 which I quite like
Cheers man, if they play half as well as yours when done I'll be happy!
