Over the past week my health has taken a pretty serious dive. Started with extreme spasming and pain in my calf, but now I've developed shortness of breath, dizziness if I walk even just from the living room to the bedroom or something, weird numbness, other stuff. Going to doctor today.

The latter. I like the game world I am in to be persistent along with my character. Extraction shooters lean too close to queuing for instanced content and its just not what I'm looking for in terms of immersion.

I've played a little of it. I'm not big into extraction shooters as they tend to lean into impermanence a bit too much for my liking. A branch of dungeon crawler that got rid of the persistent overworld just doesn't quite hit right for me.

That's why I love GAMMA so much.

Always lmao. I would KILL for more open world survival shooters with milsim elements ;-;

Weird journey I've been on while entering some down time with WoW. Felt like playing a gritty shooter, tried The Division, then segued to RE and now I have discovered I love RE3 20 years too late.

Well. RE3OG has now joined FF7 in my small list of games I wish had remakes but have weird replacement games puppy guarding my chance of ever seeing it happen instead.

Went back and played a little of the original since its been... 20 years or so since my friends and I played it in high school.

I kinda wanna take it back. I mean the remake is fun on the surface, but JESUS it butchered 3. Completely gutted the structure and vibe. Hack job. Insane.

I managed to install and give these games a shot entirely coincidentally. Weird how the timing of the universe conspires to things like this sometimes.

Yeah it was originally just an expansion/gaiden for 2 I think? That got expanded into a full game.

But the remake manages to cut it down even further which is just silly, really. Cutting the park and clock tower segments is confusing.

Idk where Steam put all my other REmake screenshots but, imo, this is still the best looking game in the franchise. God damn gorgeous game. I would kill for another with fixed camera angles and this atmosphere.

This is literally the only RE that scares me and I chalk it all up to its scene setting.

I... really enjoy RE3make? God damn shame its a 3 hour game. I think 10 hours of this might have been one of my favorites.

Yeah the nerfed headshot staggers is just bad feeling. It was simple, but the OG has a really nice rhythm and satisfying feedback. I don't feel any of the changes to headshots or the knife have really made combat more fun.

Which is a huge shame because I like how this controls ;-;

I'm still early on but 4make has set an early trend of making areas feel more linear as well. I'm not sure its made the game -better- for it. Also the boxes all having yellow paint AND UI markers is just insulting.

And yet, I still feel more drawn to the newer version. Idk!
