Today is a good day to take note of all those telling you how swimmingly this is going to work out so you can stop paying attention to them forever
We have illegally and under false pretenses launched a war that in no way benefits us and isn't going to ever truly end

I'm heading to the Senate floor in a few moments to lay out the detailed story of ICE abuse - teargassing schools, murdering American citizens with impunity, disappearing legal immigrants. And why we should not fund ICE until they stop terrorizing our communities.
Oh definitely a real thing - easy to believe my friends Ivan et al at @mayoclinic Jacksonville - previously more reported in dogs but people know how to replicate canine findings!
I told them I had enough community 😃- got a wife, grandkid, fellows, occ NephJC, ASN Communities, bike club, book club, tennis partners 🏆
I guess these jerks want more kidney disease (to say THE LEAST about effects of climate change. Missed our post urldefense.com/v3/__https:/...

We have the most corrupt and least competent FBI at the same time that we have the most corrupt and least competent DOJ, with the only saving grace in either instance being that both agencies are also woefully understaffed
No doubt; in comparing the roles of the intestinal to the urinary microbiomes @lamanazzal.bsky.social and I would argue the former is clearly more important, with the potential of changing urinary chemistry. The role of the latter remains unclear but under active investigation.
Thanks Swap, a potentially very important paper from my collaborator Kymora Scotland at UCLA. New methods in microscopy applied to demonstrate findings c/w bacterial biofilms while DNA sequences suggest E. coli, Proteus, enterococcus. KS says she has 2 more important papers on this work!
Our editorial about climate change...yes, it's coming and it's not stopping...and its effect on kidney stones, AKI, CKD...(while USG remains in denial: promoting COAL!) in @kireports.bsky.social www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... @theisn.org @nyunephro.bsky.social @thecookingdoctor.bsky.social

Whistleblowers just shared a memo showing DHS instructing ICE to force their way into peoples' houses without a proper warrant. Why is this not on all the networks right now? This is a criminal conspiracy to violate rights under color of law.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated his life fighting for equity and justice. He taught us that even in the face of intimidation and discrimination, we must never stop working towards a better future – a lesson that feels especially relevant today.
This is clearly worrisome. Equally concerning is the grant agreement language allowing the gvt to terminate grants whenever it deems the research doesn't align with admin priorities. As research takes years to start/implement, that uncertainty will keep many worthy projects from even starting.
Wow - excellent discussion of the totally underwhelming BICAR-ICU2 trial

Thanks to @jefftiedrich.bsky.social and @rubinallergy.bsky.social for keeping urine ingestion topical. This is NOT what the kidney community considers the cutting edge of nephrology, but that's where Oz, RFK Jr, Makary, Prasad, et al are leading us. @hswapnil.medsky.social
Jay Bhattacharya and Matthew Memoli aren't bringing "gold standard science" to the #NIH, they are gutting research slowly but surely. When this time is over, they should be hauled before Congress, and shunned for the rest of their lives. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
Working people have been left behind in New York. In the wealthiest city in the world, one in five can't afford $2.90 for the train or bus. As I told Trump today— it’s time to put those people right back at the heart of our politics.
Jade what talk was that?
aMAZing - congrats!!!
