There was a reference to this in "Beyond Paradise" last week - wonder how many people spotted it?!

Loved Danny on 5Live. Really do hope he made a very, VERY stupid mistake rather than anything more sinister.

He was a poor replacement for everyone he replaced - Steve Wright, Zoe Ball ... heck, even Danny Baker!

Totally! It's been one of those "what does that remind me of?" riffs for years - now that you've put your finger on it, I'm like ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

A brilliant article about one of my current fave bands that name checks another of my faves from the 80's - the mightily underrated Bolshoi!

Ooooooh Black Sabbath's first album!!!

Maybe you should just slip it into someone's order, like they did with "No Line on the Horizon"?

Two seven inch singles by Rick Wakeman. One is his song Animal Showdown, the other is I'm So Straight I'm A Weirdo

Had these two absolute corkers arrive from @brighterdayvinyl.bsky.social this morning. Thanks Joel!

Such a fitting reminder of Jenni Murray's interview technique

Loved this album and the preceding singles. What other band could have a bass player just known as "The Bass Thing"?!

At 59 I look like Mike Tyson took up portrait painting without taking his gloves off - do I care, and is it relevant? No. Do I feel 59? No (more like 80...). Can I still have a laugh?

cape - Rick Wakeman was my first ever gig, Cliffs Pavillion, Westcliffe in Nov '81 on his "1984" tour. And yes, the band walked off stage and left the drummer to do a drum solo!!

BBC news website now seems to be using "clickbait" headlines to get traffic. Would only be funny if it ended "And how do we drive him out?"

Surely it would be called "Brain Salad Surgery"?

I truly feel like I went to bed around New Year 2016 and fell through some hole in the fabric of space / time - the last decade has been so batshit crazy it defies rational explanation.

So sad that 3i/Atlas wasn't an alien spacecraft - would have been a magnitude of batshit craziness lower than the absolute tides of insanity currently happening on this planet.

I recorded every call I had with my dad for about 3 years, up until I changed my phone a year before he died - Android put a "privacy block" on recording phone calls, but it's good to hear his voice from before his dementia had progressed too far.

Had this Arrow version of 2001 when I was in my teens. Can recommend Clarke's "The Lost Worlds of 2001", a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the film and novel.

My 'Box of Bollock' has arrived! Thanks to @herring1967.bsky.social, Chris Evans (not that one)(or that one) and, of course, Right Bollock

Had a double whammy - went to see "Life of Brian" in the ABC in Southend in 1980, and the support film was a little-know American flick called "Airplane". Several hours of tears and side splitting followed!

If I get a number two in the post I will be quite upset!
