No arguing here! The Mets may be the only argument but my bet is neither team makes it above .500 this year.

That excuse might work but their problem is that no one can catch up to major league fastballs anymore.
The team ages years each day!
Homeless Brother was McLean's 5th studio album. It plays like a concept album. Very much of a folk effort, which was most of his career. No hits or really standout songs. Just good and solid music.

Tell Congress: Impeach Pete Hegseth immediately.
He is completely unqualified and dangerous at the Pentagon.

"Nothin' But a Heartache" and "Chinatown" (I may have missed 1 or 2).
So I guess it was one of those "monster hits" kind of albums.
Even as the most casual fan I can recognize this quality and popularity of this album.
I was actually pleasantly surprised!
I was never a big fan of the Doobie Brothers but here it is in my collection. "Echos Of Love" was a big hit off this album, as were "Little Darling", and "You Belong To Me", ...

Last night's game is exhibit A: 6 great defensive plays by the Cubs.
Last home stand it was soft contact by the opposition. Plays that in other years were going there way are JUST out of reach!
Combine that with no contact & errors galore (even by normally reliably Sosa!)... Not their year!
I fear that it's a lost season. Think about how bad they are!
Sure Wheeler's coming back but if you watch them play not only are the terrible in the field and at bat but they aren't getting a single bounce!
Interestingly he has both Ellen Foley and Karla Devito singing. Both female performers were on the Meatloaf's hits.
This album was never a commercial success but it certainly is a quality production and interesting to listen to again.
He certainly had some cache when he made it because he has Todd Rodgren, Max Weinberg and Roy Brittan playing and/or singing.
The themes and drama of the music are pure Meatloaf/Steinman. He lacks a little Meatloaf's voice but just a little.
He does a spoken word piece "Love And Death And An American Guitar" where you can recognize him from the spoken word parts of "Paradise By The Dashboard Lights".
This was Jim Steinman's effort without Meatloaf. You can tell. It plays like a Meatloaf album but you can tell that Steinman was the brains behind the Loaf.

Yo! this is great. Rich was doing my favorite Philly sports newsletter before PHLY made the dumb decision to get rid of it.
Go subscribe to Rich's new venture and support independent journalism. Go Birds.
Plenty of both "About To Make Me Leave Home" and "Gamblin' Man" and other leave Raitt a chance to really stretch her musical chops...
Her version of "Runaway" is a masterclass of how she can take a song and own it. In some ways it's better, more raw and bluesy.
Good record!
Plenty of Bonnie Raitt blues on this album! However, there are also quiet a few folk-rock songs. Bonnie has a knack for good song selection like: Home (Karla Bonoff), Runaway (Del Shannon), My Opening Farewell (Jackson Browne).

Yeah, he's got "cognitive decline" as an excuse. What about all the others? There is NO ONE in his administration with a lick of integrity or courage! What's their excuse? Rubio? Vance? Generals?
Someone should be shouting from the rooftops! Shouldn't they?
Doesn't matter to me if that happens because it will NEVER happen here. His record proves that.
If he hits the lottery somewhere else I'll feel good for him but that's what your scenario would be like... hitting the lottery!
If by that you mean "just like every starter other than Sanchez" they I say let him pitch the next time the #5 starters spot is up!
He'll only get better. I can't say that about Walker!
Well, imagine how he must feel🤣
But the cat is out of the bag now!
It ain't working AND I ain't watching whatever he's trying to sell!
Funny, not funny.
This album really holds up and I'm glad I listened. I should have kept up with more of music but she's been in and out of my music journey throughout the year.
She selected songs from great songwriters like: Steve Forbert (What Kind of Girl). Merl Haggard & Red Simpson (You Don't Have Very Far To Go), Tom Petty (Hometown Blues), among others...
