Tim Cook's legacy will be enshittifying Apple's software, abusing their market dominance, and then playing apologist to fascism.

Under his leadership they burned billions on a car that never drove, and the only major attempt at a new product during his tenure (the Apple Vision Pro) was a total dud.

With this new InfoWars, we will democratize psychological torture, welcoming brutal and sadistic ideas from everyone, even the very stupidest among us. It will be like the Manhattan Project, only instead of a bomb, we will be building a website.

The InfoWars of tomorrow will converge into a swirling vortex of content about content, talent acquiring talent, rings of concentric media mergers processing all human artistry into one endlessly digestible slurry. This will be a dank, sunless place, one where panic and capital feed on each other like twins in the womb of a hulking, unknowable monster—a monster known by many names, but which I like to call modern-day America.

What a beautiful piece of writing from my boss, @brycetetraeder.bsky.social.

Please listen to these words. People with Mental health/issues who fight depression we tend to stay silent / withdraw or say we’re ok. Life is hard enough when our country isn’t falling apart.
Anyone who reads this know you’re not alone. We in this fight together. Keep fighting!

Lies, snarling insults, shameless disinformation . . . what a wonderful menu of activities, Fox News is bequeathing the coming generations.

There's no greater sign of the iron grip that "both sides" framing has on American journalists than the repeated descriptions of the unhinged tantrum Trump is throwing over the pope's anodyne statements on Catholic doctrine as a "feud" or a "fight" or anything else that implies they're both to blame

That’s one. Now what about accountability for Trump?

This is a victory for the LGBTQ+ community and for our entire city. It’s a reminder that New Yorkers won’t let our history be rewritten.

Our administration will keep working to ensure LGBTQ+ New Yorkers can live safely and with dignity in our city.

I was elected as a Democratic Socialist and I will govern as a Democratic Socialist. YouTube video by NYC Mayor's Office

Together, we are telling a new story of our city. New York belongs to all who live in it, not just a privileged few.

And if we succeed here, surely it can be done elsewhere.

The effective federal corporate income tax rate:

1950: 50%
1990: 25%
2020: 13%

Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate.

That is how we will pay for it.

May Victor Orbán simply be the first in a string of countries engaging in overdue housecleaning by kicking their authoritarian leaders to the curb.

Something like this will have to happen in this country once Trumpism is defeated. In the absence of accountability, the world will rightly assume that it will happen again.

Remember: The recipe for economic growth isn’t tax cuts for the rich. It’s investment in our people — in health care, infrastructure and education — to build a strong middle class.

You don't grow the economy through trickle-down nonsense.

Chris Murphy: So now WE are closing the Strait. This is - just in case you were wondering - as dumb as it sounds.

It’s a classic case of one tragic mistake begetting another because of out of control hubris and pride.

Blockading a blockade is the work of a pure stable genius like no one has ever seen before. Only Donald Trump could have thought of this.

It's like, "You think you can shoot at us? Well, we'll show you—we'll shoot ourselves!!"

We should all have tears in our eyes.

BOOM!
South Australia's power prices have plummeted as they near 100% renewables, proving to the world that relying on wind and solar with battery back-up is possible, more reliable and costs people less.

THIS is how we avoid the next oil crisis.

What a sad admission. One of my favorite places I ever lived was in Brooklyn in an area that was basically Little Bangladesh.

I loved that neighborhood and would move back in a heartbeat. I never felt unsafe, I had good relations with my neighbors, and the food was great.

During crucial negotiations with Iran that will affect economies worldwide, our “President” and “Secretary of State” are at a cheesy fake wrestling match.

We are no longer a country that should be taken seriously.

Trump: "Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed. Sounds a little strange, but President Putin was very generous in his feeling toward Ukraine succeeding.”

Zelenskyy deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for not punching Trump in the nose for saying the country that invaded Ukraine was being "very generous."

Lies, Trump was paid his salary. What he did with it is immaterial.

Now, let's add up the hundreds of millions in golf trips, hotel stays at Trump properties for the Secret Service, etc.
