A Quakertown High School students' ICE protest escalated into a confrontation with adults that left at least one teenager bloodied and in handcuffs.
Yurii Konoshchuk's family moved here in 2023 to escape the war and so his daughter with leukemia can get continued medical care. Though he was welcomed here through the U4U program, in January, the gov't told him he had to pay $6,000 or risk deportation. The community raised the money within hours.

As Philly’s rate of violence plummets to near-historic lows, police are also solving homicides at the highest rate in recent memory.
