it started with ORAS i believe and now every time they gotta make a So Retro callback to the gen 2 games they use those versions and it drives me nuts. like it's somehow more grating than the fact that they use the version of the RGBY ost that has the reverb on it for no reason and i hate that too.

like i was able to overlook it when they first appeared in HGSS since DS handles music different than the gameboy but like. all of these games since use streamed music you can just make a streamed version of the original songs!!! grrr!!!!
