There was a whole thing on social media where art critics and scholars were supporting each other because they "had to" touch art and casting guards as hall monitors in 80's movies.

I couldn't go to the LACMA opening but a friend sent this photo from the "incident report factory," as she called it. So long, paisley shawls, it was nice knowing you...
Something that has always broken my brain is the argument of accessibility to art objects vs. the safety of those objects. I appreciate both sides of the argument. It was a debate that ran through my head constantly in my time as a museum guard.

Oh wait, they're running in two days. I guess that makes more sense.
I honestly can't fathom a lifestyle where I'm like "Welp, I'm running 26 miles tomorrow. I'd better do a few laps around the city today!"

Apparently there are some big jazz fans in Worcester
That spot is great. I used to walk by there all the time with my grandfather when I was a little kid. I've been told that the neighbors would be more supportive of something cool than I suspected. I asked about a cafe/art space, so along the same lines.

Okay, after sitting with my feelings for 30 seconds after that game, I am officially more of a Celtics fan than a Knicks fan.
One reason I'm a bad sports fan is that my two favorite teams are the Celtics and the Knicks. So I hope they just all have a good time tonight.
Sometimes I fantasize about living off my artwork, or people ask if I'd want to do that, then I do some quick math and realize that at my prices I'd need to sell a painting every weekday all year and would only be barely getting by.
I tell ya, it's hard to stay hopeful for a pedestrian-friendly future when I'm just constantly hearing arguments like this.
Florida, Arizona, and California - three famously pedestrian-friendly states.
A USA Today photo of a derelict mall with the headline "The Mall was an American Experience. Not Anymore."
Given the state of the nation, I'd say the mall in this picture has had a fairly American experience.
