Unfortunately I won‘t be attending DOAG this year. I already had some FOMO going on, but now it got even worse

#orclAPEX
Is there a site or way to see all #orclapex meetup groups in one place - plus when they're holding events?
Calling them “meetup groups” even if they use other platforms to organize.
Would love a central hub if one exists!
Amazon news for all #orclAPEX devs around Frankfurt. 😍
SQLcl v25.1.1 is now available on www.oracle.com/database/sql... which resolves (at least) one very important bug when you’re working with “project” and APEX.

The latest update for our Oracle SQL Developer Extension for VS Code (25.1) is now available.
Tons of new features and bug fixes included.

Next scheduled update will be June and 25.2.
Best fix/feature in #Oracle SQLcl 25.1.0 : When you change the contents of a file (e.g. a package body), "project stage" will automatically reformat the code and update the hash. No need to export it from the database again!

Still wrapping PL/SQL like it’s 2007? Stop it! The Oracle Database 9iR2 wrap utility is holding you back.
Learn why, and check out my new PL/SQL Unwrapper for VS Code.

#orclAPEX is great for pro & citizen devs. Citizen devs know their department’s needs—but structured dev & deployment can be tricky.
@arvidregenberg.bsky.social and I think #SQLcl Projects is the missing piece: easy deployment, versioning, and a smoother process.
I’ve used #Liquibase for a long time, but #SQLcl Projects caught my attention. After days (and nights) of exploring, I’m hooked! So much so that @arvidregenberg.bsky.social and I started blogging.
We compare Liquibase & SQLcl Projects (incl. #orclAPEX). Check it out & share your thoughts! 🚀
Hey Dan,
that’s exactly what I was looking for. I even read about this command in the documentation but I thought it’s only for showing me the defaults.
Thanks a lot! :)
Talking about SQLcl Projects being intimidating… is there somewhere an overview what the parameters in the project.config file mean? In order to feel more secure about using SQLcl Projects in production I would really like to understand more about the results of setting one parameter to true/false
Finally got a chance to try #SQLcl projects! Initially struggled, expecting it to work like Liquibase, but once I realized Git is central to the workflow, everything clicked. I think it has huge potential—not just for big teams with CI/CD, but also for beginners and citizen developers.
I’ve already learned something new and it’s just the first tip.🎄Looking forward to the remaining ones. 😊
OMG, look who I met! 😱

Thoughts and prayers 😂
In what database can you currently execute this statement?
Haha yeah! There are so many things to think about in the data modeling zoo 😄
