It’s costing thousands to keep the lights on. 🤷🏼♀️. Switch some off?

Yes 🤣
. Not often I multi-tag crossword buddies into a clue, but this one absolutely deserved it.
It’s not just mistakes though. People complain at carefully thought out decisions/judgement calls, whilst others welcome whatever it is that’s been put in place. Can’t please all the people, etc etc. Scrutiny and complaint often very public. You need some backbone, and some.

But I do wonder what % of the electorate even know what those pledges were; I think many are just looking for a personality.
And time, Alom. Most of my ‘good habits’ have only been achievable since early retirement.
Seconded! I’m a 61 year old retired teacher from Suffolk who’s just binge read everything Cummings has written and my imagination’s gone overboard as a result. Can’t go to Lidl without thinking I’m being tailed by undercover spies in the middle aisle.
Instead of handing out an Inspector Calls on the desks, place them on the floor?
In all seriousness, this is going to be about agility/creativity/criticality in thinking and we’ll go round in circles about how this can’t be achieved without knowing lots of stuff.
I’m so curious to understand what he has in mind for ‘agility’.

A blue sky with clouds. In the foreground is a green Primary Route exit sign for the A140. The destinations given are Ipswich Diss Norwich. It’s a image I took from google Maps as I wasn’t quick enough on the draw with my camera.
In East Anglia they even put their civic/ football beefs on road signs
🤣. That’s just up the rood (rhymes with good) from me.
Verbena bonariensis growing well
Not even May yet - it’s a good year for the verbena bonariensis.
John Peel Centre in Stowmarket has record fairs. Nice venue. Next one August 👍🏻
I’m almost at the point of ordering a new sleeping bag and flask, so I can go next year to represent women of a certain age. I have no particular interest in vinyl purchase myself, but I’d take one for the team. I love a challenge. Gets me out of the house.
When I have fear that I may cease to be Before my pen has glean’d my teaming brain Before high piled books in charactry Hold like Rich Garner’s the full ripened grain When I behold upon the night’s starred face Huge cloudy symbols of a high romance And think that I may never live to trace Their shadows with the magic hand of chance And when I feel fair creature of an hour That I shall never look upon thee more Never have relish in the faery power Of unreflecting love; then on the shore Of the wide world, I stand alone, and think Till love and fame to nothingness do sink
I try not to dwell on the fact I’ll never read all the books. Keats got it.
