Here's the BAMS SotC timeseries image I referred to. Asking Kate Willett (HadISDH developer & Humidity expert), that rise in RH is mostly driven by the marine RH which "went a bit wierd".
(Not a record land value in RH - I was looking at specific humidity by mistake)

HadISDH: Global land surface humidity monitoring from HadOBS (Met Office Hadley Centre) Exploring and documenting routine updates and ad hoc bug fixes.
Data, figures, diagnostics and other information can be found here: www.metoffic...

That update isn't yet available to us on the Dashboard - so that data is only up to 2024, and so is still ISD based. hadisdh.blogspot.com has a full breakdown of that update.
BAMS SotC 2024 humidity section (2d1) suggests its driven by changes over ocean in 2023-4 (ENSO) plus record land value.

Any shares of this for algorithmical purposes much-appreciated. I'd love to get these books out of my spare room & into the world before my new novel comes out. I'll sign them all & I really am happy to let people choose what they pay.

2024: record-breaking watershed year for global climate 2024 was the warmest year on record globally and the first year that was likely more than 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels: a stark reminder global temperatures are continuing to rise.

2024 has recorded the highest temperature in any year since 1850 🌡🌍

This is the 11th year in succession that has equalled or exceeded 1.0°C above the pre-industrial average period

A number of centres released their estimates today:

Zooniverse The Zooniverse is the world’s largest and most popular platform for people-powered research.

Looking for a distraction today? Or just want to help climate scientists?

Immerse yourself in some ship voyages from the 1860s and help transcribe the weather observations taken so we can improve our understanding of how the climate has changed.

A complex graph. It shows temperature difference from the 1981-2010 average on the y axis and month on the x axis (January through December). The lines on the plot are the year-to-date averages from 1850-2024 so the leftmost point is the january average for that year and the rightmost point is the january to december average for that year. Most years (labelled other years) are shown in grey. 2023 and 2024 are shown in red and 2016 is a sort of pale teal. A green shaded area is titled (~1.5°C range).

The year to date averages in 2024 started high as you might expect from an El Niño year (e.g 2016), but the average hasn't fallen as far and the past couple of months look like the average might be increasing again (October number is ERA5 based on daily averages to the 25th)
