Especially for clients who are not able to leave their homes for fear of being detained by ICE, it’s important to both get good sleep but also to move your body. Do some gentle stretches, walk inside your home and exercise to online videos when you can.

During stressful times, CVT clinicians suggest that clients limit use of social media. A good practice is to set a schedule and only look at it once in the morning and once more in the evening. But be mindful of looking at traumatizing images, especially before going to sleep.
