☢️ SPECT/CT: Intense uptake in osteosclerosis and involucrum.
Lucent tracts extending to defects with the involucrum = cloacae.
Cold, dense fragment within cystic cavities = sequestrum.
✅ Final diagnosis: Chronic osteomyelitis.

☢️ SPECT/CT MPI: Irreversible, large sized (4 segments) perfusion abnormality of moderate intensity located in the inferior and inferolateral walls.
✅ Diagnosis: Non transmural MI.

☢️ SPECT/CT: diffuse perfusion and delayed tracer uptake in acetabular zones (I, II, III) osteolysis, subcortical sclerosis, periosteal reaction.
✅ Diagnosis: septic loosening of acetabular component.

☢️ FDG PET/CT: irregular retroareolar soft tissue mass of intense FDG uptake and spiculated margins, typical appearance of IDCa.
✅ Diagnosis: IDCa (NOS) ER+, PR+, HER2- (Luminal A).

☢️ SPECT/CT: well defined ovoid subperiosteal lesion along the lateral cortex of the right 2nd MC diaphysis. cortical mild tracer uptake suggestive of active regional bone remodeling.
✅ Diagnosis: Periosteal chondroma.

☢️ FDG PET/CT: left lung subpleural oval shaped mass like consolidation without significant FDG uptake with indwelling of pulmonary vasculature.
✅ Diagnosis: Rounded atelectasis.

🗓 32-year-old male with prior successfully treated chronic osteomyelitis and septic loosening of the femoral stem (see chronic osteomyelitis post) with debridement and revision surgery, presented with right hip and groin pain for the past 3 months and unremarkable radiographs
☢️ SPECT/CT: intense uptake in acetabular roof fracture with callus formation, and greater trochanteric (Vancouver type A) fracture.
✅ Diagnosis: Periprosthetic acetabular and greater trochanteric fractures. #MedSky #RadSky #Nucmed
It forms at the junction of left subclavian and internal jugular veins, courses inferiorly on the left side of the aortic arch and anterior to the left hilum, draining either into the coronary sinus (90%) or directly into the left atrium (10%).
Left-sided superior vena cava is the most common venous congenital anomaly in the chest. The reported incidence is 0.5% in normal population and in 5% in individuals with congenital head diseases.
☢️ PET/CT scan shows a rounded tubular structure adjacent to the aortic arch coursing inferiorly anterior to the left hilum draining into the coronary sinus.
✅ Persistent left SVC.

A 32-year-old patient underwent FDG PET/CT, showing a well-defined mass in the right anterior mediastinum with intense FDG uptake (SUVmax= 8.5), smooth lobulated margins, and internal low-density necrotic regions. There was no vascular invasion, and mediastinal planes were intact. #medsky #radsky
