An important example of where our intuition and a “common sense” reasoning doesn’t necessarily get it right

“high energy pressure wave transfer was not limited to leather balls, so if this energy is associated with neurodegenerative disease, it is not a problem that has gone away with modern balls”

$95? That's nuts. Do you get to keep the bus? At many of the tournaments I've been to (obviously not going near this horrible one), you got free public transport included in your match ticket price.

Unless the EPL panel finally gets round to a decision and decides to deduct them 80 points, of course.

There is definitely a line of thinking that City's titles are tainted, so it doesn't matter if they win another. Personally, I think that's an odd position to take but then I still consider Leeds bigger rivals than any London team, which is increasingly niche.

Does anyone know whether this protest was planned prior to the MPS announcement they would be arresting again. And was there any link between the announcement and the protest or would the protest have taken place anyway? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Every arrest for holding up a PA sign (even if lawful under PACE) is an interference with human rights and officers should only arrest when it is a proportionate response to the ongoing criminality. Many operations have decided arrest peaceful protesters is not proportionate.

I get your point, but it's more complicated than that MPS release suggests. 1. We don't know whether any arrest here is lawful or not - the committal of an offence doesn't mean an arrest will be lawful. 2. Officers also have a duty to uphold Freedom of Expression, even when this is an offence.

I'd naively assumed that putting the Premier League on hold for Easter weekend was to increase the profile of the FA Cup 6th Round. So was somewhat surprised to see it all on TNT, for £35 a month or whatever it is these days.

Facts that I've been voicing for some while now. With most cultures there is a religion attached. With British culture it's indeed Christianity! Embrace and respect our values, principles and morals. Enjoy our traditions or you will be on the receiving end of our unforgiving combative history!

I believe that Britain has to be far more muscular in standing up for our Christian identity - just as Islamic countries protect their own way of life.

Big day for all the born again Christians who are yet to visit a church on a Sunday but are quite sure Jesus wants them to ethnically cleanse the UK.

I write because I enjoy writing & because I want people to hear my ideas, in my voice. It's about expression not just intellectual challenge. And I love looking back on something and thinking, "I wrote that". I simply don't see the point in getting AI to either write or revise, even if I trusted it.
