I read this too quickly with my East Coast late night eyes as "Slayer" and was like, "Who in Slayer is running for CA guv?"

Collins is still a senator because of this very phenomenon.
… and the Times is still paying Thomas Friedman to write about the Middle East.
Don’t believe it. Jan Crawford is a Fed Soc plant.
Colin Woodard for the win.
Can’t wait for the Democratic primary to be over so everyone outside of Maine can stop acting like we can summon viable senate candidates from the intertidal mud flats.
CW FTW.
Imagine what that 2024 postmortem looks like. (The one they haven’t and never will release.) I’m guessing sending Bill C. and Richie Torres to Michigan doesn’t look so smart in retrospect.
"I wasn't pretending to be Jesus Christ, which I am not, I was just pretending to be a physician, which I am also not."
Why would she when she’s already sworn off incumbency? Throw in the fact that she’s not for abolishing the filibuster and she isn’t exactly making a strong case.
Except before being elected Fetterman was on record as being pretty pro-Israel and pretty lukewarm on Palestinian rights and also had some priors of problematic behavior against actual human beings not just shitposting or questionable tattoos. So it’s not exactly like it was a post-stroke 180.
Responded to a political poll for the first time in my life today. (First time I was contacted.) While it was ostensibly a poll about the Maine democratic senate primary, the first person the poll asked about was Chuck Schumer.
The guy that said “Strait of Hormone” in a national address last night is always the most well-read person in these rooms, people.
But also Kim Gordon is and has always been pretty much right about everything all along and is cooler than pretty much everyone.
You ain’t gotta go home but….
I’m gonna guess, no? Atlantic is just Third Way agitprop birdcage liner at this point.
I’ll see what I can dig up. FWIW I follow you and usually enjoy your takes here and on TPM.
Back when he was defending Trump (pre-election) and then early second administration there were a lot of centrist, ex-fed lawyer and professor types going on cable news and podcasts going “oh but Todd Blanche isn’t so bad” essentially.
Does anybody have a list of all the “serious” lawyers that were saying last year that Blanche “might be Trumpy” but is a “good lawyer” and “knows how to follow the rules”?
THE DOW!
the trump administration is selling this country wholesale to rapacious, extractive industries that will destroy our collective resources for private profit morethanjustparks.substack.com/p/breaking-t...
Collins is just trying to differentiate from Mills who has brilliantly promised to only serve one term. As opposed to Collins’ promise to only serve two terms.
This!
Layla. Yup. I said it.
TF is on his feet?
Also, FWIW it looks like BDN just hired the reporter maybe? Lots of recent coverage of PA politics on the profile. Is he the same person that wrote other recent coverage of GP?
There’s so many factual errors in your thread it’s not worth my time correcting even if you might consider them. Senatorial qualifications are objective. Apart from being over 30, and a citizen and resident of the state you’re running in at least. I voted for Mills 2x. She can’t beat Collins.
That’s a huge leap. I am not. Nor would I. I also don’t think any of the people running in the race are Nazis, but what would I know? I’m just a lifelong Maine voter who is actually paying attention to what the candidates are doing on the ground in the state that they’re running in.
If she’s “perfectly awesome” she ought to be able to win the primary. www.dropsitenews.com/p/leaked-vid...
Ok. Sure, I guess. But maybe there’s a distinction between PAC money coming from the minority leader and an endorsement or assistance from senators who are lobbying for a change in leadership. It’s not like this is a binary thing.
