My next Amiga costume project is the red karateka from IK+.

It’s a fairly simple project because other things are keeping me very busy at the moment.

I’ve also started preparing for another, bigger cosplay that I can hopefully start tackling in a couple of months.

My first confirmed event of the year is Vectorama in early June in Oulu, Finland.

It’s primarily a LAN event, but the Finnish Amiga users (Suomen Amiga-käyttäjät ry.) is well represented there. I’ve wanted to visit the event for a few years already, and now it looks like I’ll finally make it!

I’ve been nominated as a Cosplay Star at the*gamehers Awards 2026!

The Awards have 10 categories for remarkable gamer women. There are some seriously impressive people among the nominees, and it’s an honour to be listed among them.

Voting is done in the*gamehers App by 31 March.

I made the first one nearly 12 years ago. Since Amiga37, I’ve been cosplaying Amiga/retro game characters exclusively.

Look behind you, a two-headed squirrel!

Meet David and Peapod, an upgrade to my Zak McKracken cosplay. They’re my first posable art doll and slightly bigger than real squirrels. I made them from scratch, which took me nearly 100 crafting hours.

I made 3 Amiga costumes: The Machine, the ‘90s alt Lemming, and Zak McKracken.

I visited 5 events this year. Amiga40 and VCFSO25 were the best ones for me.

I also graduated and got a BA in Design.

Yep, although the colours and the additional protrusions on the helmet bear a suspicious resemblance to Galactus too. I guess those guys really read their Marvel Comics back then.

Many have dressed up as Lemmings before, usually in groups, so I wanted to do something different with my costume. I combined 3 alt styles that were around in the early ‘90s: grunge, punk and goth.

My most anticipated event of the year, Amiga40, took place last week. I had a wonderful time there. It was one of the absolute best events I’ve ever visited, Amiga-themed or otherwise.

Thank you! I made the armour out of EVA foam, with Worbla on the inside for reinforcement. I also used loads of bits and pieces for details, things like old computer chips, circuit boards from cell phones, parts from a broken printer and floppy disks, etc.

I’m back from Amiga40 and will post about the event soon. Spoiler: it was fantastic!

In the meantime, here’s a great photo of The Machine, taken by Rudolf Stember. This cosplay took me 980 hours to make, but it really was worth it in the end.

I’ve been very busy painting The Machine’s armour. Here’s one of my favourite pieces: the left thigh armour.

I have less than 3 weeks left to finish this cosplay and two smaller projects for Amiga40. I’m living in serious crunch time now.
