You're not the only one who has 'spent their life studying x,y,z topic'. You do not possess the ultimate truth, perspective or moral high ground on what will make a battle successful. It might help to remember that moving forward. And that's where I'm going to step out of this conversation. o/

There's more needed than just surveillance, it's more complex than just black or white. You do you, just remember that grey area exist & ppl have different skills. If you're not willing to do it, that's fine, but don't bash others that do. We're on the same side.

This all or nothing attitude won't get us anywhere or help us in the days ahead. We each have our roles to play in the impact we create. If they can catch even a few people on there while staying true to their values, I fully support them. Don't nitpick, but pick your battles&let others pick theirs

I think the base idea here is: choose your battles during these times. If you feel like you can be a nuisance without it draining you, go for it. If not, delete it and find a different battle. No judgement either way, we each have our roles to play.

I deleted Twitter a good while ago, I closed down Threads and I'm slowly trying to move my family off Whatsapp so I can delete that one too. Slowly, but surely, we'll get there.

There is no TT equivalent yet. The point in coming here or going on Discord rn is to stay connected, not use them as a TT replacement.

Admittedly I only used TT for a short time, but I've noticed the algorithm is very different than most apps, your experience is what you make it. Plenty creators who have built communities that nourished them back or returned after a break & are quite sad to lose them.

I'd delete Twitter too but ... already did a long time ago 😂
