Not only did the bird learn water displacement, but also learned how many stones to get the water high enough. I notice the bird picks up more stones on subsequent attempts.

I cannot believe I typed MLK wrong. What the hell. I deeply apologize. No disrespect was intended. It's MLK's warning which defines how I judge the policies of any representative. That's my litmus

I prefer the presence of justice, even in the face of discomfort. I despise the comfortable lie

Schumer is insufferable, and I criticized him multiple times about his putting Israel above his constituents (which, in my mind, should disqualify him from ever holding office). I think all the neoliberals in Congress need to go. Their day is done.

That's Phase 2.

Phase 1 is defeat the fascists.

In before, because I know the salty folks are going to rage abt me being a Centris apologist. I am not. I think Centrists are THE moderates MKL warned about. Y'all have t stop thinking binary. It pisses me off. Centrists are tolerable when the goal is to remove the fascist. It's the death door meme

Oh, look, a corporate Democrat and a Democratic Socialist working together.

Shock and horror!

But what about Obama's war criming? (clutches pearls).

This doesn't mean Obama is pure as the driven snow, just that Mamdani is an adult.

My brother nearly lost his life due to mistreatment at a long term care facility. First, they neglected his kidney care, and he almost died to a necrotic kidney. Then they left him unattended and he lost his entire colon.

Oh, and you can't sue, because the facilities LIE about the care they give.

And if you want AIPAC gone, work to have States address the issue, as States govern what corporations can, and cannot do. I guarantee you, once the AIPAC money is gone, a lot of their Democrat toadies will retire.

Why do you all do things the HARD way? Blow up the damned dam to destroy the bridge.

The whole, look at the shit Democrats are doing is an issue we address AFTER we get the fascists out of power. not before. Not during. AFTER.

But, do what you want, just don't complain to me if we don't get the number we need in November to choke out the fascists.

The ONLY goal of the "Democrats are shit" at THIS POINT in the political cycle is to keep Democrats from the polls, and to encourage independents to not coalition (with the intent to remove the Regime). That's all. there is no grand political statement of trying to make a better government.

Orban and his government were kicked out because Hungarian voters showed up in masses (79%) and actually did the "not Orban and friends."

That's what we need in the midterm. That's what we seem to be on a trajectory for. Unless people start skipping steps in the process.

Yep, once again we get the "don't vote Democrat" posts (this one on FB).

Ok, buddy, sure. Who do I vote for then to stop Republicans? Green? You SERIOUSLY think we can whip up a viable 3rd party in 200 days?

This narrative ALWAYS crops up when Democrats are poised to win. It's a psyop. 1/

The Inside Story of Five Days That Remade the Supreme Court

“In public, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has cultivated a reputation for care and caution. The papers reveal a different side… At a critical moment for the country and the court, the papers show, he acted as a bulldozer in pushing to stop Mr. Obama’s plan to address the global climate crisis.”

The New York Times is now blocking The Wayback Machine from accessing its articles.

That means you'll no longer be able to view archived versions of NYT stories published in 2026 and beyond on archive.org.

(All those posts you see tracking changes to NYT headlines and ledes? They relied on WBM).

THE HOUSE JUST VOTED TO EXTENDED TPS FOR HAITI!!! Thank you, Rep. Ayanna Pressley for your leadership on this. Proud to help co-lead this effort for our Haitian brothers, sisters, and siblings. What a day.

cont.: The Hungarian people rejected it all. Democracy held, despite America’s intervention, not because of American leadership.

The United States has long argued that elections should be free from outside influence.

That standard should apply to everyone, including us.

The House just failed to end the Iran war by a single vote (213-214).

Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) was the lone Democrat to cross the aisle, providing the deciding margin to defeat the War Powers Resolution.

Rep. Thomas Massie was the only Republican to vote in favor of the measure.

Good thing I stopped watching The Boys ages ago. I am sick of hyper-violence.

And now, I am content I am not supporting a terrorist.

So, no one thought to save a seed of the Hardy Tree and plant a new sapling when the original tree perished?
