I'm sure the very first moderately successful actor, athlete, musician, or politician experienced it.

Really? Who?
One weird thing is that it's an effective metric for seeing how unhappy people are with the world. My comment feed isn't at Covid-era levels of toxic assholes, but it's been really ramping up the last 4 months. People feeling impotent despair at the world will lash out online.
I understand that. Once I accept someone as tribe, my love language is screwing with them. No one outside the circle is allowed to screw with them.
The parasocial part is weird. Familiar commentors who have been around a while get far more grace than total strangers. They've hit a "friendly bater" sorta level, and that's cool. So there is a two-way street aspect.
The weirdos who come out the gate with that shit, they get tossed.
Fun Fact: If you pop up on my channel comments with stupid complaints, "friendly" insults, or criticisms of nothing things just to be a know-it-all or jackass, and this is the very first comment you've ever made - it will be your last comment.
It takes literally zero effort to not be a dick
New RPG Review is up. Today we're talking about performing a prison break with Rescue on Ruie.

While the buzz about Unified Pictures releasing a new Vampire Hunter D comic is awesome and great, the "first installment in 26 years" is wrong.
No one remember Unified Pictures did "Message from Mars" which was stunningly beautiful and a great story?
When they tell their Dungeon Master that D&D is all they need...
TTRPG about me
First game: D&D Basic (Black Box) 1991
Latest game: Cthulhu by Gaslight
Longest game: AD&D 1e
Favorite game: Call of Cthulhu 7e
Favorite mechanics: Traveller 2e Character Creation or Pushed Rolls (CoC)
Favorite setting: modern day or 3rd Imperium
Favorite art: Keith Parkinson's stuff
I saw pictures of it in Dragon, knew nothing about it other than that cover, but our 1 little game shop in town didn't carry it. Not like I could have afforded it if they did
The fact Dark Conspiracy will use the Traveller Character Creation system really excites me.
Sadly, I fear no cover art for this new edition will possibly beat the original Larry Elmore cover. I hope to be proven wrong, but that's a very high bar
..."one day you'll make a skill-based fantasy RPG for GDW," to which Gygax said, "No way! They'd have to oust me from TSR for that to happen." Then Marc's eyes glowed red and thus the curse was sealed."
When choosing between the Truth or the Legend, always go with the Legend 😜
I've a theory that insane murder-rate in Midsomer County (minimum 3 per episode) has led to very low property prices, meaning people just keep moving there despite the obvious dangers. That's also why the residents of Midsomer are the weirdest, sketchiest people, because no one sane would live there
I've enjoyed reading a bunch of RPG history. It's funny to see how many "This was the first time anyone did this in a RPG," ends up being wrong by a decade or more. It also keeps me stocked with enough useless facts to keep my title as the Most Boring Guy At The Party.
the egg chamber from ALIEN all decorated for Easter...
A friend on FB posted a modified version... :)
When I finally got to meet Marc he was pretty chill, but when I told him how much I loved his novel he lit up and geeked out with me.
I made a thing!

The very best accessory to go with that book is Marc Miller's Agent of the Imperium
The second greatest trick D&D ever pulled was convincing its players that D&D can do everything.
The greatest trick it pulled was convincing everyone that $60 for a complete RPG corebook is a ripoff while 3 corebooks at $40 a pop was a screaming deal.
Noura looks on in concern as Ross's disproportional hand grows larger and larger
I'm not sure about this nightclub, guys.
I dunno. I say we give it the length of one drink and see how it goes first.
What's the worst that can happen?
Top caption reads, "When a D&D party is faced with a mystery..." Below is a still from the television show 'Futurama' of Fry, Gary Gygax, and Lt. Uhura looking concerned. Dialogue text reads, "Murder isn't working and that's all we're good at."
Yet when I say, "D&D isn't that good for mystery adventures," or "D&D is a combat-focused game pretending it isn't," people get mad
Everyone is wearing the practical shoes you'd expect from a crew of space truckers. Except for Brett's Hawaiian shirt and signature hat, there isn't much flare or personal style.
And then there's Lambert rockin those heels and not giving a fuck about practical.
Cast photo from Alien(1979) of the Nostromo's crew
Looking over costumes from Alien for color schemes for painting scifi minis.
First Thought: I never noticed all the white pants. I never think of white pants.
Second Thought: Lots of white shoes. I need to resist the urge to always paint them black.
Third Thought: Holy shit, Lambert's boots!
I'm also about 98% sure this is just some April Fools gag. But I couldn't resist the Lovecraft quote.
"The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are, and the Old Ones shall be. Not in the spaces we know, but between them."
