Memorizing all the world capitals is a lot of fun until you stumble on Sri Lanka.

Not say that the Shinkansen isn't amazing. Traveling that distance in two hours is incredible and it's way more spacious than a plane and Japanese train stations are way less of a hassle than American airports.
Responding to the original post, the Shikansen isn't all that cheap compared to regular train travel. The most common ride is going to be Tokyo and Kyoto which costs about $100 USD (really expensive if you're on a Japanese salary). It's going to be one of your biggest expenses traveling in Japan.
I've thought the same thing. I love going for long walks/hikes. I often think about bird calls I'm hearing and wonder what birds are nearby, but haven't done the work to put bird calls to memory.
The Pitt this season really leaned into "Yo, the American healthcare system is absolutely bonkers."
I like Coogler. Dude's cool, but man is it just a pretty good film propped up by one scene. One Battle After Another is just far and away a better film.
I bounced pretty hard off mewgenics. But sts2 is so fun.
I would just point to the larger scope of global politics to point how inflation impacted incumbent parties. I'm also not arguing that it was good policy for her to not break with Biden on Gaza. Any Democrat running on a pro-Israel platform in 2028 is way out of lock step with the Dem base.

Better link since that article is just a summary of this axios article. My takeaway is that without the autopsy we have no idea how highly weighted the assumed impact. Not a lot there to really bank on without any kind of data to look at.
Right, but you're trying to prove a hypothetical of what nonvoters were thinking leading up to an election. What we have from voter data is what the primary concern of voters was.
Here's an analysis that shows the breakdown: blueprint2024.com/polling/why-...
If you look at exit polling, the primary concern of voters is were economic concerns or inflation. I don't disagree that the left at large has soured on Israel. But to break the election down to "voters were mad about Palestine" as their primary issue is untrue.
Donald Trump's getting reelected stands in stark defiance to this. He's only really here because inflation was high under Biden. It's such a clear political miscalculation for the Republicans to think they can survive making life more unaffordable for Americans.
I think you're vastly underestimating just how much the average American voter only cares about how high the price of gas is or how much they paid for their recent McDonald's order.
Why make the claim if you're not going to watch the entire speech? Both candidates mentioned election interference.
This is blatantly false?
He mentioned that the GOP meddled in both his county and Crockett's county.
Unless you're in a few really blue states like Mass, these policies are pretty bog standard Democrat positions. I'm in NH and our candidates policies look fairly similar.
Kind of a mix of like mid to late 2000's and peak late 90's so us 90's babies millennials will recognize most of what's here, lol.
Still on track to get my first colonoscopy by 40 though.
My favorite part of the Olympics is hearing the athletes drop F bombs that the broadcasters can't censor.
The drone camera work they've been doing for the Olympic skiing competitions is so freaking cool.
My issue with the statement is less an issue in complexity and more that people's attention spans are limited and it takes an issue like immigration and turns it into a conversation about how the country was founded.
That's kind of bonkers. It's a man writing out Pascal's Wager on his death bed.
Analog Pocket, maybe?
On one of my flights last year, I sat next to a guy who was playing a Link to the Past randomizer on his Pocket so I imagine it can run SMW Kaizo.
Is Grok creating child porn or Russian bots finally getting to you?
Tis the season to be jolly and joyous.
There are a few stories in Metamorphoses that have some strong women. Philomena and and Procne are involved in some utterly brutal revenge.
But, on the other hand, no one gets it worse than Io or the myriad of women who are assaulted and then turned into flowers.
I love Madea as a character for this reason. Jason would be nothing without her.
Odysseus is similarly propped up by the women around him whether that be Athena, Circe, or Penelope.
Expecting a book like Harry Potter to present that argument with any kind of nuance is a bit of a fool's errand. It's ultimately a children's book where the overarching theme is Love conquers Evil.
There's something to authors presenting racist characters as a different kind of victim separate from who they're oppressing to show that very few people directly benefit from subjugating others based on race. A character like Arnold Ridgeway in the Underground Railroad comes to mind.
Turns out my collar bone break is pretty rare and doesn't happen often. Just insanely unlucky set of circumstances caused the break. Don't need surgery though so... 🤷
From my recollection, stoning people was pretty typical advice.
