Under "Standardize Genre Metadata" in Settings you can set:
Simplified (12 basic genres, see above)
Full (normal Genrelizer, custom genres consolidated into 72 pre-determined ones)
None (genres taken straight from a chart's song.ini)
This mirrors genres set by casual games like FUSER, and is built to be an easier way to look through songs in-game if you prefer that over base Genrelizer's 72 genres.
As well, this system will be used to control character animations in venues once that becomes more relevant.

Simplified is a new Standardize Genre Metadata setting compressing song genres into 12 broad categories:
Rock
Metal
Country
Pop
Alternative
Hip-Hop/Rap
Dance/Electronic
Punk/Scene/Core,
R&B/Soul/Fun
Classical/Traditional
World
Other
We found these charts somewhere in the YARC company backrooms. Couldn't tell where they were from; surely they predate all other content in the game, so we'll just call it the first setlist ever.

You can disable Over-Genrelizer in Settings -> Songs -> Standardize Genre Metadata. In the future, Over-Genrelizer will remain in the game and be used for controlling animations in venues, and more generic sorting in UI.

Starting next month, the YARG team will do Live Q&A sessions on Twitch! We'll take filtered questions asked on Discord and answer them live on the official YARG Twitch channel.

Few things that weren't in the trailer that are worth noting:
- Guitar (lead), Bass (groove), Drums, Vocals. No direct keys it seems
- Any mix of instruments, so no player limitations!
- Steam page says Online multiplayer
- Kramer will likely come bundled with the game
