Had a great time today at the @porticolibrary.bsky.social for the Women in Folk Song conference with the Traditional Song Forum! My paper was on transmission of "The Ball o Kirriemuir" among herring gutters in 1880s Banff. Loved all the papers today & seeing Manchester for the first time. 💚

So proud of @clairerakich.bsky.social for a brilliant paper on gendered motifs in the uses of folk songs in movies at today's Traditional Song Forum @porticolibrary.bsky.social - I'll never watch folk song in film the same way again!

Personally I feel working in a heritage building that is also a library often means being a custodian of both the physical architecture and the knowledge housed within.

This is your last chance to have an opportunity to apply for this unique position.
