We would like to say a big thank you to our keynote speakers, workshop facilitators and everyone who joined us in Liverpool and online for contributing to two fantastic days at this year’s conference.
We hope you will be able to join us next time.

#RRNConf25 Great to see such a great turnout at this conference on reducing restraint. First talk today by Gambinga Gambinga on naming the named or unrecognised restraints on people’s lives living in the community was genuinely mind-opening. Brilliant.
Listening to @jopavlopoulou.bsky.social talking about the harmful cultural narratives that shape neurodivergent people's self identity and learning so much. Such an engaging speaker! #RRNConf2025
A packed start to the #RRNConf2025 with @restraintreductionnetwork.org. Already meeting fantastic people. I'm looking forward to spending time with friends and colleagues old and new. So many amazing speakers including @drjohnabaker.bsky.social @cityalan.bsky.social Alexis Quinn and so many more!

I am feeling hopeful after this talk. Hopeful that there are peope who want to change mental health services. Hopeful that people have a vision of how mental health services can work better for people at their most vulnerable. Thank you @femimind.bsky.social and @horatioclare.bsky.social
Donald Trump is not so much moving the Overton window.
He is demolishing the entire building containing the window and constructing an entirely new building with a new window in a different country.
@femimind.bsky.social talking about how, culturally, consent is not about one person but it's given in a social context. Very different to the individualistic view that prevails in Western cultures. Very interesting when we consider the globalisation of patient and staff groups.
Really excited to listen to @femimind.bsky.social in conversation with @horatioclare.bsky.social
Some of the editors/authors are on here: @dirkrichter4.bsky.social @sabinehahnurse.bsky.social @nicooud.bsky.social @marylavelle.bsky.social @drjohnabaker.bsky.social - if you know others involved in the book, please tag them so we can share this widely!
