While a few Republicans have spoken up about Trump’s vile post, others like Speaker Johnson ran away rather than make a statement. He didn’t even try his Sgt. Shultz “I saw nothing” line. It speaks volumes that he couldn’t criticize him for even his worst behavior. He has sold his soul to Trump.

New Yorker and Democrat here. Mamdani was not my first choice. In fact, I didn’t rank him at all in the primary. But I won’t vote Republican as long as Trump is their cult leader. Eric Adams is still beholden to Trump. I’ll have to hold my nose as I decide between Cuomo and Mamdani.
