Art Spiegelman on Banning ‘Maus’ Art Spiegelman talks about the banning of 'Maus' as it is reviewed in Missouri for concerns about sexually explicit material.

"Usually most of the Holocaust narratives, I would find, are about the sanctification of the victim. They suffered, therefore, they become ennobled, and that’s what the story is. That’s such bullshit... that notion of suffering is a very Christian notion." pen.org/art-spiegelm...

ATM screen with language selection buttons, including "ESPAŃOL"

when Polish bank BZ WBK was bought by the Spanish bank Santander they were told to add Spanish language to their ATMs.

Unfortunately the ATMs did not have Unicode support to they had to spell it "espańol" with Polish "Ń" instead of the Spanish "Ñ":

(just like the fact that we know all the multiple revisions of his constructed languages makes it more like a reconstruction of historical dead languages from fragmentary sources from different periods of their development)

yes, the publication of multiple fragmentary and contradictory versions from different time periods make it more like a real mythology than Tolkien's hypothetical finished version ever would have

They should have never made TV shows movie level canon but should have kept them as extra stuff around the edges like Netflix Marvel shows or Agents of SHIELD
