1. The central claim in the indictment of SPLC is a lie.

The DOJ/FBI accuse SPLC of lying to donors about seeking to “dismantle” extremist groups while secretly funding them. But the funds were used to infiltrate & help law enforcement dismantle these groups. Kash Patel knows this is the truth…

My most liberal idpol radlib take is that I think it's pretty bad that
right wing forces are actively intervening on behalf of the Klan with the full weight of the state legal apparatus

I have to admit I was already aged out of watching SpongeBob SquarePants when this episode originally aired.

But my younger colleagues told me to watch this clip.

Ok, well, raisins are evil at all times so if we cannot agree on that basic premise there isn’t much more to discuss.

Opinion | Measles Took My Daughter. This Is What I Want Everyone to Know.

A hearbreaking story. Her daughter contracted measles during a 2013 outbreak before she was old enough for the vaccine. She survived her acute infection, then died 10 years later from subacute sclerosing panencephalitis, a fatal long term complication of measles. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/21/o...

War 🤝infectious disease

Nearly as many soldiers died from the flu in WWI as combat. More soldiers died from infectious disease than combat in the Civil War.

surely no army in military history has ever been laid low by disease, a famously uncommon problem among people living in enforced close quarters

I get it every year! It’s fun to try new things (every year is different) and it’s such a good deal.

Also I think it’s read the 6th before the 5th??? See I can’t keep them straight. I did it right though at the time.

21 hours ago 0 0 1 0

Ok i checked I read the 6th! It’s the last one I’ve finished.

21 hours ago 0 0 1 0

I don’t know why but all these books have blended together for me and I can’t keep track of which I’ve read and in what order.. (the read the 5th before the 4th thing really screwed me up I think?).

What is the German word for when all three of these women cabinet secretaries absolutely deserved to get fired and yet pretty much all the men cabinet secretaries and FBI director drunks do too. And yet .... 🤔

You tell them you love them, that you're there for them, tell them about good memories you've shared, hold their hand. Sometimes you don't say anything at all. Sometimes you just listen to them talk and that's the best thing to do.

I've been in training full time for the past 12 years.
I need one of these grants to start my academic career.
The current administration could support my research for the next millennium with a small fraction of what they have stolen from the American people.

Timmy the Whale as allegory. #hapc

“I believe the whale will die very soon now. And I would also like to raise the question: What is actually so bad about that?” he said. “Yes, animals live, animals die. This animal is really, really very, very, very sick. And it has decided to seek rest.”

Sometimes we are able to sort it out in time. And sometimes I have patients who die before they’re enrolled in hospice. Instead of receiving supportive care at home by experts in end of life, parents are stressing about everything else on top of the fact that their child is dying.

1 day ago 4 0 0 1

Oh and also? Hospital systems aren’t designed to fight for this. No one is trained to do it. Our care managers and financial services folks who desperately want to help these families are told by their supervisors it’s not their problem to sort out. And it wastes hours upon hours of everyone’s time.
