Charlize Theron on the Night Her Mother Killed Her Father in Self-Defense

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated story. These things are prevalent in a lot of homes. Women really get a very, very unfair shake, even in this country.
Nobody takes it seriously.

Understanding the fragility of our planetary home: The legacy of Paul Ehrlich The death of famed biologist Paul Ehrlich on March 13 at 93 has occasioned a flurry of commentary in the press and on social media, some of it thoughtful, some of it scurrilous, and most of it insuffi...

A lot has been written about Dr. Paul Ehrlich, who recently passed away. Much of it is misleading, out-of-date, or simply wrong about his brilliant science, the evolution of his thinking, and his deep care for people & the planet. Here's a personal take on his legacy.

Let's Catch Up On The Hilarious Afroman Defamation Trial | Defector Afroman, once world famous for his song about being high (though I always preferred β€œCrazy Rap” myself), has emerged as a new kind of internet folk hero in the aftermath of an incident in 2022 with Oh...

In Atlanta, we go to the Mexican Consulate on Tuesdays and do power of attorney forms for parents concerned about being separated from their children. It's heartbreaking.

Everyone's getting their jokes off about this, which is fine. But instead of goofing around, I won $300,000 on Kalshi by betting that there'd only be one provably barefoot person in a photo of seven crypto freaks. Enjoy being poor.

A War Still in Search of a Mission Changing your mind about the goals of war after you’ve started one is never a good idea

Michael McFaul: "It is a reflection of our current political environment that Trump has been able to take the United States into a war that few Americans wanted, that he never mentioned on the campaign trail, and that received neither congressional authorization, nor UN or NATO approval."
