I got this real sketchy popup on the page, so I’m also unable to read it. Just closed the tab because I wasn’t gonna dare to tap that X button

Love that your solution to adjusting the name after finding out he was a boy is a more dignified version of how we renamed a ginger kitten to Amber Dude after the same discovery.
A hand holding four Pokemon energy cards. The thumbnail is painted to look like a Pokeball
Four fingers laying on top of four energy cards. The nails are paint blue with a water symbol, green with a grass symbol, red with a fire symbol, and yellow with an electric symbol
Hand with those same Pokemon energy symbol nails holding up some Pokemon cards
Volunteered today to help teach at a Pokemon tcg learn-to-play event at the Strong Museum of Play. Once again decided I needed themed nails for this event. Always fun seeing kids and families eager to learn how to play the card game together.
And hopefully the weather won't be too bad for you tomorrow!
Those are some really nice ones. I love the druzy with the larger crystals on top. That seems to be Crystal Grove's speciality. And that little display is perfect for all of those loose crystals. This one is definitely the best find I ever had and I doubt I'll ever top it.
I definitely need to try Crystal Grove again sometime. I was only there for a short while when I went last year, so I didn't find much. But every year they vend at our local gem show, so I've gotten to at least see some of the really nice specimens they find there.
These two were my nicest finds of the day. Still sorting through and cleaning all the little ones I got. The original Herkimer Diamond Mine is my favorite, but Crystal Grove is the only other one I've tried. I really hope Ace gets the land dispute sorted so it can reopen.
While getting wet isn't fun, rain can actually be a good thing for Herkimer hunting. The rain helps was the dirt away and can reveal more of the loose crystals. I went last weekend, and a raincoat and water-resistant hiking pants did a good job of keeping me dry. Hope you find some nice crystals.
I legit filed mine just before 12:30AM last night/this morning
For the first time in my life I had to pay more than $4 per gallon while filling up my car 😩

I love this trilobite I found at Caleb's Quarry on a field trip in High School. The teacher even had a friend of his prepare our finds for display.
🎵"You're insane
You are bad
You wreck everything you touch
And you're a sociopath"🎵
If you’ve never listened to this TMBG song, you should.
Reminds me that there was a Sanjay and Craig web game that included a minigame called Do Your Taxes
That reminds me of how The Strong Museum of Play has(had?) a motorcycle on display and poses the question that if someone is riding a motorcycle just for fun (not to actually get somewhere), is it a toy. And then there are big buttons to vote Yes or No.
Based on some of your replies to various questions, it sounds like QA or Production Assistant roles might also be good foot-in-door type jobs that may be worth looking into while he works on figuring where in the pipeline he wants to be involved and beefing up those skills.
If they had the money to pay for a “pro” account on a GenAI site, they could have instead just bought a subscription to a stock music service and used tracks made by actual humans.
A screenshot of Pokopia. The player character Ditti has dark brown hair and is wearing a black newsboy cap, a plaid button-down shirt, dark blue jeans, and yellow sneakers.
Should I be concerned about how close I was able to get my Ditto to looking like me?
If you haven’t played Pokopia yet, I’ve got a strong hunch you’ll really dig it and the core theme of creating habitats for Pokemon.
I have those dreams and sometimes it's mixed with me needing to also go to my full time job at the same time. I graduated 14 years ago.
Photo of a copy of Wizard's Hall by Jane Yolen. The cover illustration depicts Henry discovering the location of a castle that houses a magic boarding school
An alternate cover for Wizard's Hall depicting Henry with a menacing quilt monster behind him.
If you really need to read a book about a boy with messy hair whose name starts with H and ends with RY, goes to a magic boarding school, and befriends a ginger boy and a nerdy girl, read Wizard's Hall. It even came out first, so it's not a knock-off en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizard%...
Good. The only Sora I want to be hearing about in relation to Disney is this good lad
And despite being a puppet, Miss Piggy's wigs look more believable.
This song unfortunately is very relevant to the bs going on right now. (But it's a good song and you should give it a listen)
There is SO MUCH wrong with it that I don't know how they could have even thought it looked good. At best it looks like art you would see on cheap flimsy bootleg cards where they have like 1000hp and there's no listed energy costs for attacks.
A local game shop was using AI in their email blast fliers. I unsubed from their mailing list and in the little "why are you unsubbing" survey I told them it was because of the AI and that I will no longer go to their store as a result. Who knows if anyone reads those unsub survey responses though.

Are we sure those are real people and not Monster Factory creations
It's not Autumn in Roc without getting some cider donuts
