The @peripheralmss.bsky.social project had its first delivery of mss from Saint Meinrad Archabbey as part of our @nehgov.bsky.social HCRR grant. I'll leave it to @lizhebbard.bsky.social & @sarahloleet.bsky.social to provide a more substantive assessment, but ahhhhhh look at some of these beauties.

Part 2 is out! Big hugs to my friends & coauthors, @kalanicraig.bsky.social & Sean Purcell. We grow so much from @libraryleadpipe.bsky.social 's open peer review process. Big thanks to @quinnanya.me @plach.bsky.social & @schomj.bsky.social for being awesome reviewers & editors.
Good times! We come together again for another virtual workshop in a couple of weeks!
Good times!
Partners opened GitHub accounts and practiced making their website look like it belonged to their community during the first of our three-part virtual workshop series. We choose to teach GitHub due to its stability, financial accessibility, and ease of use (after training, of course).
Metadata is hard especially for Medieval Manuscripts ... check out our latest blog post about the @peripheralmss.bsky.social project: peripheralmss.org/metadata-for.... #midwestmss #medievalmss
Took us a minute but we are trying the socials (well, just bluesky) for this special project! Check it out: digitalarcplatform.github.io
Thanks @plach.bsky.social ! The open peer review process w/ @libraryleadpipe.bsky.social was constructive & generative-the best peer review experience. Writing w/Sean Purcell was an inspiration & of course, @kalanicraig.bsky.social, forever my work spouse. Looking forward to part 2 of the article.
Thanks Glen for your kind words. Our partners are mostly smaller unis & colleges, museums and seminaries. We purposefully work with non-R1 collection-holding unis. UIUC would make a great digitization hub! (And we do include collections held by hubs for obvious reasons.)
@lizhebbard.bsky.social I saw this post through email lists yesterday … we should talk about esp for the mss-only presentation & manipulation of the content
It’s our first #ManuscriptMonday. Follow along to learn about some items in the Peripheral Manuscripts Project’s digital repository! #medievalsky
Thanks to a Digital Justice grant from American Council of Learned Societies, the Digital Archiving & Storytelling for Historically Excluded Communities (DigitalArc) project is gearing up. Learn more about the project: digitalarcplatform.github.io.
