Just finished writing the (hopefully exhaustive) longread about metaframeworks β what they are and what theyβre for. If you have any comments, would be happy to discuss! π¬
Metaframeworks Records β the newsletter and adjacent pile of informational resources about metaframeworks and metaframework-like tools for full-stack web development β Next.js, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Solid Start, Astro, and many more

Now that I wrote it this way it definitely looks/sounds quite weird and I probably need to visit a doctor π
Caught myself on the fact that when I'm tired or burnt out I turn one of the bookmarked @frontendmasters.com courses on and it works quite soothing on me... Especially the low-level stuff from Richard Feldman β never saw a person explaining these things in such an engaging and comprehensive way.
Screenshot of a Tweet by @TheChiefNerd inclusing an interview with Sam Altman. The text in the Tweet says: SAM ALTMAN: βWe see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter.β
The whole "AI" industry is just based on the hope that they can deskill people fast enough that they'll have to rent back cognitive support systems. Forever.
It's like Uber. Just that they don't try to break existing transportation infrastructures but your brain.
The guy from the Youtube thumbnail yelling out of fear or happiness, hard to say
Had the guy seen a mouse or something? π
Play button on my old Sony audio cassette recorder π₯Ή
What exactly is "Playful Programming", if you don't mind sharing?
Just deployed my own lightweight instance of Forgejo on Railway from a Docker image found through a quick Google search... That was just freaking easy, never expected something that sophisticated (I mean, it's kinda my own GitHub and all now) to be that straightforward...
FWIW, these cut-off heads look a bit creepy...
This anchor link of this beautiful article is must-read for all the JavaScript/TypeScript developers: hetmehta.com/posts/n8n-ty...
One of my favourite developer tools of all times, highly anticipated! β€οΈπΏ
I don't publish the announcements for new issues of Metaframeworks Records anymore here (trying to stay a bit away from social media to keep sanity and some free time) BUT the newsletter hadn't gone anywhere in 2026 so feel free to subscribe or just grab the RSS feed if you're not into emails π°
Cake with candles for 10 (one candle is the number 1 and the other is the ESLint logo).
Coming tomorrow.
Just realized @codepen.io (the one and only among the others!) doesn't have any integrated AI (still!)

The visual appeal of this cute thing does a good chunk of work too π

Happy holidays, and thanks for making this year better for some people through your awesome work guys ππ
You know the song right? No?! How so?! Let's rock it along! www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbj1...
Just have hit publish for the last issue of the Metaframeworks Records in 2025 π Good stuff and bad stuff as usual, [almost] no judgement as usual, and lots of curiosity and innovation (not the AI innovation everyone shouts about, the real one!), so if you fancy some of it β welcome to the party! π
Rad device, classic ππΌ
Thatβs beautiful, I like the way you express the Portuguese mood on the photos β€οΈ What camera did you film it with?
With everything going on, zero-trust is the only security model that makes sense.
Everything is exploitable π£ β accept it. All we can do is reduce the damage surface through separation and isolation.
And of course check out this awesome version of the title song! πΊπ»
The new issue of the Metaframeworks Records is out! π
Three topic groups as usual: THE GOOD (multiple awesome advents for web developers), THE BAD (not only metaframeworks authors hack on metaframeworks), and THE NOTEWORTHY (news from Astro, Analog, Vite, myself, and others). Check this out! π

I love the intro format β that's how I usually converse with my son on different tech topics during our common jogging time π
