Okay, since the Deluxe Editions of IMMORTALITY: Design Works are arriving now, I think I can (finally!) post about it. This has obviously been a dream project to be involved with and I'm so grateful to everyone at @lostincult.co.uk and @halfmermaid.co that helped make it a reality (1/5)

He begins the lecture by saying

The motion picture is still such a magical and mysterious combination of reality, art, science and the supernatural – as well as a gateway to the nature of Time, and perhaps even the first clue in solving the puzzle of what we’re doing here on this world.

I love film. I love the idea of it. It’s still completely mystical and mysterious to me.

I haven’t had a life full of ambition. I’ve always been willing to leap into the unknown – that way you’re investing in the future. There’s compromise in everything, but you try to hold off the compromise as long as possible. The argument against doing something is always in terms of practicality. How do you argue for the unknown against something that’s established? Business people don’t like dealing with something that’s completely unknown, so you get into terrible trouble. But when I look at my films now, when people talk about my films now, I’m happy that they are still alive, whereas some films that were tremendously successful at the box office are moribund.
