Calling all content creators! We're looking for Official Co-Hosts! 🗣️

If you’re a content creator, or you know a content creator who should apply to be an official co-host of the Frosty Games Fest showcase this June, applications are OPEN NOW and close in one week, on Monday April 20th at 9pm AEST.

We really hope this was helpful! All that said, if you applied this round and didn't get in, don't let it discourage you from applying to Frosty or any other showcase in future.

At the end of the day, your work matters, whether it aligns with any particular showcase or not. 7/7

We try to ensure a breadth of content, for example, not a showcase full of all horror games. This enevitably means some popular genres have a harder time getting into a variety showcase like Frosty. We recommend also seeking out showcases that are focused on themes/genres specific to your game! 6/7

We prioritise games with exciting news to share! Try to remember what is compelling to you, as the dev very close to the project, may not be the same as what is compelling to a wider audience. 5/7

We always get a lot of applications from really, really cool games, with no compelling news to share. There are too many applications from games with big marketing beats like premieres, release dates and first looks for that to be viable. 4/7

For many games that don't make it in, it's a case of right game, wrong time. We can only have a very limited number of games in the show, so we are doing our very best to select games which are poised to capitalise on the experience by evaluating the content, messaging, and timing pitched to us. 3/7

While we don't have the capacity to provide 1:1 feedback to all games that apply, we wanted to cover off some of the very common reasons games don't make the cut, because we know the showcase applications black hole can be frustrating. 2/7
