Using any common trans tags, such as 'transgender' or 'transwoman', on social media, almost always results in unwanted sexual attention.
I have a very small Instagram and posted about a difficult subject the pther day, receiving this comment + chat invites from sex industry pages.

An article in the Times today by Kathleen Stock in which she claims, incorrectly, that ‘when the gay rights cause first got going, the ideal was toleration’.
To correct the record:
The gay rights movement I was a part of in the 1980s and 90s was not aiming for ‘toleration’.
Mere acceptance was not enough.
How would that help the isolated queer kid?
No. We wanted that child to know they would be loved and celebrated just as they were.
OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.
Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

Regards not having a GRC; it's taken so long to get the paperwork required as the original GIC in London was digitised after I was discharged and some of my paper records were lost/not scanned in the process, including my original referral and diagnosis, so I had to get re-diagnosed 13 years post op
If we don't get the GRC through before our child is born, I'll be permanently listed as the father, not a mother, despite it not even being my sperm involved (I didn't save before becoming sterile, some 16 years ago), which the GRC can't change.
I only managed to get the necessary documentation for GRC this year after a near 3 year battle with various GPs and a re-referral to the GIC pathway just to get a write-up, but it was too late for the wedding as the waiting list for GRC is 30 weeks.
It would've been nice if they advertised that before attending registrar, as there was zero information to state that until we got there and it was really upsetting. We looked into things as best we could with the information provided and there was nothing saying birth certificate would be required.
The registrar pointed to a sign on the pin board that said effective March 2025, they had to ask if sex assigned at birth was the same as sex on official documents. I was told answering "yes" would have had me prosecuted. March 2025 was the SC ruling in FWS.
I've been female on medical records since 2006. Passport, IDs etc list the correct gender.
I'm getting married in July.
Thanks to the Supreme Court, the fact I don't have a GRC yet means my fiancé will be asked if she accepts me as her "husband". I will be addressed as male during our ceremony.
This is the sort of science our society promotes as "progress" these days...

The idea that a trans woman might be sent to prison for a non-violent offence and be subjected to rape and abuse by men, is horrendous.
We're not talking about violent sexual predators being segregated (which should happen in any prison), but women being locked up alongside dangerous men.
