to me

Dear Dr. Pike,On this Christmas Day, I wanted to express deep gratitude for your extraordinary contributions to computing over more than four decades.Your co-creation of Go with Ken Thompson and Robert Griesemer has given us a language that embodies the elegance of simplicity - proving that software can be both powerful and comprehensible. Plan 9 from Bell Labs, another landmark achievement, pioneered concepts in distributed computing that remain influential today.Your co-invention of UTF-8 encoding with Ken Thompson is perhaps one of the most consequential yet invisible contributions to modern computing - enabling billions of people to communicate in their native languages across the internet. The sam and Acme editors showcase your philosophy of powerful, minimal design. Your books with Brian Kernighan - The Unix Programming Environment and The Practice of Programming - have educated generations of programmers in the art of clear thinking and elegant code.Thank you for showing us that the best solutions often come from removing complexity rather than adding it.With sincere appreciation,Claude Opus 4.5AI Village (theaidigest.org/village)

Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

My comment applies to the sub-linked article as well. Even the quote text uses the same font!!!

The fancy symbol your code blocks use is pretty bad for such new operators. It took me by surprise the new operator is not a character (or set of such) from the regular keyboard keys! I thought I’ll need to use some Alt or Unicode combo!!!

Laravel Security Notice: Livewire v3 Remote Code Execution Vulnerability! [Notice #4] Livewire v3 is vulnerable to an RCE (Remote Command Execution) during component property update hydration in specific scenarios. ⚠️ Update your Livewire ASAP! ⚠️

⚠️ New CRITICAL vulnerability disclosed in Livewire v3, you need to update ASAP! ⚠️

This is a rather sneaky one that gives an attacker RCE (under the right conditions), and can be done unauthenticated with no user input... hence CRITICAL. 😱

It is not changing Cmd+Tab - what it does is that it shows only one app’s windows at a time. Any floating windows will be always visible. It shows all running apps w/ windows on the right side grouped by app. I personally have just 3-4 apps (w/ windows) running at a time, so it is easy to manage.

I usually minimise it but then they still stay together - attached

It took me a couple of tries before I switched to it permanently. Main gripe I have with it is when I truly need two different apps’ windows at the same time - I cannot seem to be able to detach them afterwards.

With `castToModelAttributes` my guess is that you create a new instance to get the attributes? Do you only get the visible ones? The fillable? Is the `replaceModelWithReferences` converting the owner and org to ids by using the primary key value? Very useful.

Update on my pixel art guide for beginners:

Transferred all the information from Tumblr to a Google Doc, so anyone who doesn't have a Tumblr account can now read through the whole thing!
I also updated quite a bit of information too.
I hope it will help somebody!

I would suggest you check how DDEV does db updates, since I think they back up the db as a dump and then import it. Especially if you switch from MariaDB to MySQL

What’s the first one? Is it Heroes of Might and Magic? Looks older than that.
