this gives me a good idea: i'll try to keep a running thread of things that are union-busting that you might not know are union-busting.
ERGs are one to start.
another one: employee satisfaction surveys! corporations use them to see where agitation is that could potentially lead to a union

No amount of Marxists yelling on the internet (or in person for that matter) will ever replace personally witnessing the mask of humanity falling from capital.
Out here yelling "business owners are not your friends" over and over again knowing full well that most people will have to experience it for themselves before that lesson really sinks in.
Companies do not have moral values. They exist to make profits by exploiting labour—either your labour or somebody else’s. No amount of DEI-shaped window dressing will ever change that, and even that will quickly get discarded as soon as it becomes politically or financially incovenient.
and of course it turns out what they actually believe is just boring, standard, run-of-the-mill fascism. this shouldn't be a surprise because this is where fascism has always come from.
i don't want to bother going through the palantir thing point by point but it's an example of what happens when PR departments fail to hold business owners back and the bosses don't realize that they're showing too much of what they actually believe

2 years ago, I was in a peaceful sit-in as part of a national campaign to pressure Scotiabank to divest from being the largest foreign shareholder in Elbit Systems, an arms manufacturer supplying the genocide in Gaza. (this was successful — Scotiabank divested fully this year!)

a poster for the game workers conference, taking place on may 22-23. in the bottom-left corner, a red stream of game tools & iconography emanate from a sun composed of abstract shapes. it's nestled, slightly askew inside another poster for a boshi's place watch party for the conference. boshi's face at the bottom left overlaps the conference poster slightly, with small illustrated decorations in pure blue scattered around the rest of the frame.

The capitalist class as a whole is terrified of accountability. They spend their entire lives running from it. It’s a driving psychological force behind the accumulation of profit, and it’s self-reinforcing. The more harm they do to maintain power, the scarier accountability becomes.
I feel the same way about this article that I felt about that Spotify ad encouraging people to donate plasma so they could “enjoy a pause.”
"We desperately need new meat for the meat grinder. Activate the Weeb Signal."
Anti-Trans bigotry is such a strong force because Trans people represent a movement towards bodily autonomy that would violate everything the fascists hold dear. The fascists don't want anyone to get to make choices about their bodies. Trans healthcare is a slap in the face to patriarchal control.
Having enough money to end poverty and hunger means you are the one causing the poverty and hunger in the first place.
✨🎥 NEW – Change-Makers: "Everybody Wants A Village" (Nobody Wants To Be A Villager)
A look at the main reason I see organizations fall apart: a lack of peer support. And how easy it is to give that support 😀 (Many examples from my life that felt good to get into 😅)
