If you found out halfway through watching a season of a mystery/thriller TV show that you accidentally started on season 2, would you go back and watch the first season or finish out season 2?

Draw Steel is a gonzo game. Heroes are hardier, more mobile, and can yeet foes easier than in 5e. That informs what players look for in maps.

Bare minimum, if you put an object on the map, it has to hurt when folks slam into it. But you should really go further. Lean into dynamic terrain objects.

Knowing that bad news is coming doesn't make the news any less shitty when it lands.

I can't wait for the tide to turn against these evil assholes.

The radenwight ancestry in Draw Steel's Crack the Sun is reviving my desire to write an epic radenwight adventure about gathering allies to stand with a noble ratfolk army against something monstrous underground.

It's probably nostalgia for my Redwall-obsessed childhood, but I'm okay with that 😆

I hope their campaign is a mindboggling success! These adventures are so ambitious, and if they do well enough I can cling to this feeling of, "Hmmm, maybe I should write way more batshit TTRPG adventures than I have been.."

The individual Acts of the epic Crack the Sun adventure sound like such bangers. I'm curious to see how they guide players between adventures because 1) weak links between adventures are such a long-standing problem in big campaigns and 2) I trust the MCDM team to come up with a great solution.
