Amazed the downgrade wasn't further, but I realize it's precedent-setting. Maybe Moody's wants to see the reaction before its next downgrade.

According to a global study quoted by the Suzuki Fdn., "The richest one per cent were responsible for 20 per cent of global heating, and the richest 0.1 per cent accounted for eight per cent." Makes it clear who can & should prevent climate change, doesn't it? Stop their fossil fuel profiteering. 🧪

Bill 5 is Ford's most egregious action. Has already passed second reading. Immense irreversible damage could be done before court actions could stop it. Please contact your MPP!

European men also refused to recognize matrilineal leadership in Indigenous peoples in the Americas. In Canada, Europeans forced band councils on every group, with only men eligible, and ensured that all government benefits flowed through the Councils. The problems this caused continue to this day.

Special Consideration
Carleton Vote Liberal
Picture of Bruce Fanjoy
Bruce is running in Pierre Poilievre's riding, and is the candidate most likely to beat him. Plus, Bruce is a leader in business, a father, an involved community volunteer in Carleton for Habitat for Humanity, minor hockey, Manotick Village and Community Association, safe biking, and on the board of Council for Canadians. Bruce has been door-knocking for over a year, listening to concerns. A determined fighter for climate action, housing and electoral reform, he might be the dark horse to win the riding.
Riding Projection CPC
Vote for your preferred candidate
But consider the Liberals

A World First: Community Wealth Building legislation in Scotland — The Democracy Collaborative A Community Wealth Building Bill has been published by the Scottish government, making it the first piece of national CWB legislation anywhere in the world.

Want a way forward to reduce the growing have-have not situation in your country? To reduce the power of capitalism to create a few very, very rich men and leave most people in poverty or barely above? Scotland seems to be leading the way. www.democracycollaborative.org/blogs/a-worl...

More than just an animal: Losing a pet deserves more attention and compassion As pets increasingly become integral to our emotional lives, acknowledging the relevance of this relationship is fundamental

Excellent article about our grief when losing a beloved animal companion. "One of the most important barriers to finding support is the lack of social recognition and validation regarding pet grief. People often feel judged when they express their feelings of grief over a pet. " bit.ly/4hUtYAm

Don't get played by Pierre We get it. Things are broken and life feels impossible. And now Pierre Poilievre is running a slick comms campaign to try to convince us that he’s going to fix things. But we know a Conservative gove...

Pierre pretends to be a friend to young people and workers struggling with economic uncertainty, but he's only interested in serving his billionaire buddies. We won’t let Pierre play our friends, families, and communities this election season.

Yes, his support for Enbridge over science was horrible for Ontario even before the tariff issue. The increase in fossil fuel use that he pushed is disgusting.

I think the MuskMelon's tariffs would apply on the way back, not entering Canada, though Canada is imposing tariffs too. And who knows how untrained border guards will interpret the situation on either side.
