It's soooo annoying. Like, I'm not the biggest fan of El-Sayed (and in fact prefer McMorrow), but the way some people treat him it's like he's the amalgamation of Roy Moore, Christine O'Donnell, and Andrew Gillum.

Back in 2018, Michigan legalized recreational marijuana at the ballot box by passing Prop 1 by just under 12 points.

The measure passed broadly in most of the state save for a few conservative areas, with the biggest wins coming from progressive areas like Lansing and Ann Arbor.

Gilchrist secures Michigan Democratic Party’s endorsement for secretary of state The current lieutenant governor made a bid for governor before pivoting to the secretary of state race.

Less interesting result in the Secretary of State race, as Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist won the Democratic nod there.

He abandoned his gubernatorial run to run for SoS and was the favorite to win over Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum.

Meanwhile, Savit put together a coalition that included Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, several state legislators from around the state, and the Michigan Democratic Party Black Caucus.

Very impressive win for progressives in Michigan

Very interesting results out of the Michigan Democratic Convention, they've picked progressive Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney Eli Savit as their AG nominee over Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney Karen McDonald.

McDonald was backed by a bunch of unions, notably the UAW and AFL-CIO.

We're almost at $5/gallon gas, It's a nightmare to buy a home, everything's getting more expensive, and the government is killing people in the streets.

I'd wager a huge amount of money that people saying Latinx is like the least important issue on people's minds right now

The most competitive State Senate district in Missouri this year has to be #SD30, a Trump+2 seat covering the city of Springfield.

With a term-limited Republican incumbent and two State Representatives fighting out for their respective parties, it'll be a big one to watch.

As someone who lives in the area, the Arabic community in Bridgeview has absolutely revitalized the economy in the area. All down the street where the Little Palestine sign is, there are businesses left and right serving the community.

They've done more for the area than these two jabronis ever had

Love going on Facebook and seeing two of the absolute chudiest chuds to ever chud complain about a vibrant community near my home town.

Two candidates running: State Senator Zach Wahls and State Rep Josh Turek.

Progs don't like Turek because the DSCC is behind him, Mods don't like Wahls because they think he's too progressive.

Iowa Senate Primary has lowkey been one of the most toxic discourses on the other site.

All that fighting for two candidates who are really polling the same against Hinson lol

And here it is in chart form.

The most interesting district to me is #HD25, a Trump+38 district in southeastern North Dakota. Democratic incumbent Alisa Mitskog won one of the two seats there in 2022 by the skin of her teeth and is in for another tough fight this year.

Here is my first set of ratings for this year's state legislative elections in North Dakota!

It's mathematically impossible for the Democrats to flip either chamber, but they could gain a bit of ground in Grand Forks or suburban Fargo.

COMING TONIGHT: My first set of ratings for this year's state legislative elections in North Dakota!

It's a ruby red state with a ruby red legislature, but the Democrats have candidates running in nearly every district. Will that lead to gains?

Broke: Swalwell dropping out would lead to Matt Mahan gaining momentum because outside of Steyer, he's been on the air the most and has been getting Congressional endorsements

Woke: Swalwell dropping out would lead to Becerra getting momentum because no voter actually likes Matt Mahan

The 2026 Congressional Special Election in NJ-09, a contest between former NJ WFP head @analiliafornj.bsky.social and Randolph Mayor Joe Hathaway resulted in a commanding Victory for Mejía, slightly surpassing Mikie Sherrill's 2022 margin of victory in the seat, and doing better than all…

Essex County in #NJ11: Eh, I don’t know about Mejia. A bit too progressive for me

Morris County in #NJ11: We are the vanguard of the revolution, no Republican will escape the wrath of those who voted for them 10 years ago

Going through Wisconsin during a 7 hour train ride is always a good test of my mental status.

Because when I see town names like Nashotah and Chenequa, I don’t know if I’m hallucinating or not lol

I’m sorry, there is no way you can square last year’s election results in college towns with these poll results.

We literally saw candidates for State House in an off-off year get more raw votes in college dorm precincts than Kamala Harris did
