Sadly I can’t make it. I collect Badger Books, so I hope whoever’s interviewing him asks about the ones he wrote and then lets me know what he said!
Ah, bless you! Hope you enjoy it!
I've done an audio commentary on the forthcoming Hammer release of it.
Yes, I’m afraid I can’t do any other!
And I talk about it here! directory.libsyn.com/shows/view/i...
😱
But, as my dad (a floorings retailer) would no doubt say, how would you put down a fitted carpet in there?
I'm joined on the podcast by Steve Rogers of Hammer Films to discuss their 4K UHD / Blu-ray of Terence Fisher's whodunit, MANTRAP, starring Paul Henreid, Lois Maxwell & Kay Kendall. Catch the chat here:

I know what you mean!
I’m a Yorkshire lass too, so wonder why Hall & Waterhouse, who were also from God’s own country, set it over the border in Lancashire. That’s practically treason in these parts! Still, whatever the reason, it was a masterstroke to move the story up north from Kent.
I’m a big fan of this film, which is why I’ve got a rather nice copy of the tie-in novel.
I thought the pickings were going to be very slim indeed from my recent London trip, until I found an Oxfam bookshop and a treasure trove at the Waterstones opposite my Gower Street hotel - I certainly recommend the latter, where most of these came from.
Bought a cheap copy of the first volume of Bryan Forbes’ autobiography off a certain well known auction site. I’m guessing the seller hadn’t noticed it was signed.
You might want to check those dates…
😱🤭
On the train home from London and could swear they’ve made an announcement about a ‘Nazi trolley service’. I’m hoping I’ve misheard it and it’s actually ‘an at-seat trolley service’. Only time will tell…
Always nice to see things I’ve contributed to out in the wild.
Great night at the press launch for this summer’s Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival. Story coming soon to @on-magazine.bsky.social #TheakstonsCrime
Favourite story is always tough. On another day, I might have said The Daemons. It’s very close between those two.
Tom Baker
Jon Pertwee
Sarah Jane Smith
The Mind Robber
Amen!
Make a date for this one, it’s top notch. Great direction from Don Siegel. Wonder if Wallach gave Clint Eastwood the heads up before he and Siegel started working together…?
Well, I did see someone get arrested near the Prospect Centre while I was walking to the library, so who knows?!
Will do!
😱
I’m always very conscious I’m probably blocking some poor sod’s view. I got a bit wriggly towards the end as well because I was getting a numb bum.
Ha! We’re like ships that pass in the night. One day we may actually meet! But yes, it was fab. I was the one at the front who shouted out about watching out for Raymond Chandler.
On the big screen tonight thanks to @hullnoir.bsky.social
Looking forward to this!
